Set a separate monitor or schedule for each page, then choose its check frequency according to how quickly that page changes and how costly it would be to discover a change late. The exact intervals, timezone rules, quotas, and setup screens depend on the monitoring service; there is no universal schedule menu.
How per-page screenshot schedules work
In services that support monitor-level scheduling, each URL can have its own cadence. That lets you check a frequently changing status or newsroom page often while capturing a slow-changing legal page less often. Some services express this as one URL per schedule; others describe a frequency for each monitor.
For example, Allscreenshots asks you to name a schedule and supply a page URL, and Site-Shot describes a separate schedule for each URL. ChangeTower says each monitor can have its own frequency. These are examples of vendor-specific models, not a guarantee that every service offers per-page control.

Start with the page’s likely change rate and how quickly you need to know about a change. A legal terms page and an active newsroom are useful contrasts: ChangeTower uses an example of terms changing twice a year versus a newsroom changing hourly. Those are illustrations, not general measurements.

- List the URLs. Record why each matters, such as pricing, service status, newsroom, legal terms, or a conversion page.
- Set the consequence of a late alert. Use a shorter interval for time-sensitive pages when the service and your plan allow it. Use a longer interval for pages where changes are infrequent or less urgent.
- Check plan quota before enabling frequent runs. A faster schedule can consume substantially more captures. Calculate expected usage across all monitored URLs, not just one page.
- Review a few captures. If checks produce noise or miss useful changes, adjust the cadence or capture configuration.
Check the service’s interval and timezone options
Cadence menus vary. Allscreenshots lists hourly, every few hours, daily, weekly, or monthly and offers a timezone setting. Site-Shot describes daily, weekdays, selected days, and selected hours, with schedule times in UTC. ChangeTower advertises intervals as often as every five minutes, plus custom weekly or monthly timing. These are vendor-stated capabilities, not universal options.
Confirm the timezone behavior in the service you use, especially if alerts must arrive at a particular local time. Site-Shot says its schedule times are UTC; Allscreenshots offers a timezone setting. Record the selected timezone in your runbook if timing matters.

Account for quota and plan limits
Estimate the number of captures before setting schedules across a portfolio. ScreenshotInk estimates about 30 captures per month for a daily monitor and about 720 for an hourly monitor; its documentation says hourly schedules are available on Pro and Scale. Snapshot Archive gives different plan-specific examples: Starter permits captures at most once per day (1440 minutes), while Business permits hourly captures (60 minutes). These figures describe those vendors’ plans, not general limits.

Set up the monitors and keep captures comparable
- Create a separate schedule or monitor for each URL if your provider supports per-URL scheduling. Give each one a recognizable name so its purpose is clear.
- Choose the cadence for that page, then confirm any day, hour, or timezone controls.
- Keep capture settings consistent when you want to compare screenshots over time. Check viewport or device profile, full-page capture, page state or selector, and any change threshold supported by the service.
- Configure alerts and failure handling. Determine whether change alerts and failed-run alerts are separate, and whether repeated failures pause a monitor automatically.
- Check early runs to confirm the screenshot shows the intended page state and that alerts behave as expected.
Controls differ by provider. Allscreenshots says scheduled captures use the same capture options as direct captures and describes failed-run alerts and automatic pausing after consecutive failures. Site-Shot distinguishes schedule state from schedule health. ScreenshotInk describes separate change and failure alerts.
Manage many page schedules with an API
If you are configuring many URLs, check whether the provider offers an API or bulk-management method. Allscreenshots says its dashboard schedule settings map to fields on POST /v1/schedules. That endpoint and workflow are specific to Allscreenshots; do not assume another provider uses the same fields or request format.

Troubleshoot schedule problems
- A page is not captured at the expected local time: Check whether the service uses UTC or a configured timezone, and confirm selected days and hours.
- Runs stop or are less frequent than configured: Review plan-specific frequency limits, quota, monitor status, and any automatic pause after consecutive failures.
- Usage is higher than expected: Add up all scheduled URLs and intervals, then confirm how the provider counts captures and retries. Vendor estimates such as ScreenshotInk’s monthly examples apply only to its own service.
- Screenshots differ even when the page has not meaningfully changed: Compare viewport, full-page behavior, selectors, page state, and timing. Use matching capture settings where comparison matters.
- Alerts are missing or noisy: Check separate change and failure notification settings, the monitor’s health or state, and any change threshold offered by the service.
What to compare when choosing a monitoring service
Before moving a set of URLs into a service, verify these capabilities in its current documentation:
- Whether schedules are configurable per URL or monitor.
- Shortest and longest supported intervals, including custom days or times.
- Timezone behavior.
- Quota accounting and plan restrictions.
- Capture controls such as viewport, full-page capture, selectors, and authenticated sessions.
- Change alerts, failure alerts, and automatic pause behavior.
- API or bulk-management support.

That depends on the service. Some tools let you create separate monitors with their own frequencies; check whether your provider permits multiple monitors for the same URL.
