In YouTube Studio, open Analytics, select Revenue, then use the Live filter to view the livestream ad-revenue breakdown. For ad earnings specifically, look for Estimated ad revenue—not the broader Estimated revenue metric. YouTube says Analytics revenue can take two days to appear, and estimates may change before they are finalized.
Find a livestream’s ad revenue in YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- Select Analytics in the left menu.
- Open the Revenue tab.
- In YouTube Analytics, select the Live filter to isolate live streams and live replays, as described in YouTube Help’s live-stream monetization instructions.
- Choose Estimated ad revenue or the revenue-source breakdown to see ad earnings rather than total estimated revenue.
If you are checking one broadcast, open that livestream’s video-level Analytics or Revenue view if it is available. YouTube’s Studio experience is gradually changing, so menu presentation may vary; use the current Analytics and Revenue labels rather than relying on older screenshots.
Choose the metric that answers your question
| Metric | What it tells you | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Estimated ad revenue | Estimated revenue from ads on videos; YouTube lists it in the revenue-sources report. | Ad earnings specifically. |
| Estimated revenue | Estimated earnings across revenue types, including ads, YouTube Premium, memberships, and Supers. | Overall estimated earnings, not ad-only income. |
| RPM | A creator-focused amount per 1,000 views, calculated after YouTube’s share and including multiple revenue sources. | Comparing revenue efficiency across views, not finding the total ad revenue from one stream. |
| CPM | An advertiser-focused cost per 1,000 ad impressions before YouTube’s revenue share. | Understanding ad pricing, not the creator’s total earnings. |
These definitions follow YouTube Help’s revenue-metrics guidance. RPM and CPM are not substitutes for the stream’s total ad-revenue figure.
Why revenue may not appear yet
YouTube says revenue takes two days to show in Analytics. Estimated income can then be adjusted after about one week and again in the middle of the following month. The amount in Analytics is therefore an estimate, not necessarily the finalized payment amount. YouTube says finalized prior-month earnings are typically added to AdSense for YouTube between the 7th and 12th of the following month; the finalized amount can differ from Analytics estimates. See YouTube Help’s revenue timing information.
The Revenue tab tracks earnings for creators in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), according to YouTube Help’s Analytics overview. If your channel is not in YPP, the tab may not show earnings to inspect.

If the Live filter does not show ad revenue
YouTube’s dedicated live-monetization instructions say creators can view a breakdown of ad revenue from live streams and live replays in Analytics and direct them to select the Live filter. However, a separate live-stream metrics help page says revenue reports are unavailable when filtering for Live in the report context it describes. YouTube’s documentation does not fully explain how those report contexts differ, so availability may vary by report or view.
- Check whether the livestream has had enough time to process; allow at least two days for revenue to appear.
- Try the individual livestream’s video-level Analytics or Revenue view, if available.
- Return to a broader content or date-range view and inspect the revenue-source breakdown instead of assuming every Live-filtered report exposes revenue.
- Confirm that you are looking at Estimated ad revenue if you want ads only, and that your channel is in YPP.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your separate goal is to keep a prerecorded YouTube stream running 24/7, StreamNeo is a cloud service for that job—not an Analytics or revenue-reporting tool. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. You do not have to leave a computer or home connection running. It streams your upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only. Learn more at StreamNeo, or start the free day.
