Choose the currency on the product page, wait for the displayed price to update, then capture the product name, price, and currency selector or code together. On Firefox desktop, right-click an empty area and select Take Screenshot, or press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows/Linux or Command+Shift+S on macOS. Choose Save visible for the current viewport or Save full page for the entire page. If you need to show what a customer will actually pay, check the checkout currency too: a changed display price does not necessarily establish the final charge.
Prepare the product page before capturing
- Open the specific product page and select the correct product variant, such as size or color.
- Use the site’s currency selector to choose the currency you want to document. Wait for the page to refresh or for the price to update before taking the screenshot.
- Check that the selected currency is identifiable. A code such as USD or CAD, or a clear currency/country label, is more useful than a symbol alone. Shopify notes that multiple currencies can share symbols such as “$”; its theme guidance describes using the
money_with_currencyformatting filter when a theme setting enables currency codes. Shopify theme currency formatting - Arrange the page so the product identifier, price, currency selector or code, and enough store or page context are visible together. If the page layout makes that impossible, prioritize an unambiguous price and currency and keep the product identity clear.
Take a screenshot in Firefox
Firefox’s screenshot tool supports a selected region, an automatically selected page element, the visible page, or the full page. You can download the result as an image or copy it to the clipboard. Mozilla’s Firefox Screenshots instructions
- On the product page, right-click an empty part of the page and choose Take Screenshot. Alternatively, open the tool with Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows/Linux or Command+Shift+S on macOS.
- Choose Save visible when the price and currency details fit in the current viewport and readability matters most.
- Choose Save full page when surrounding page context is important or the relevant details are spread down the page. Review the saved image to ensure the price is legible.
- Use region or element selection if you need a tighter crop, but do not crop away the currency label, selected selector state, product identity, or context needed to interpret the price.
- Download the screenshot or copy it from Firefox, then record the page URL and capture date separately if you may need to refer to the image later.
Choose visible or full-page capture

Do not assume that a symbol proves which currency is selected. Shopify’s storefront documentation distinguishes price formats with and without currency codes, and describes options to show or hide codes with storefront prices. Shopify Help: formatting prices If the site displays only a potentially ambiguous symbol, include the visible selector state or any nearby currency label in the screenshot. If neither is visible, note the selected currency alongside the saved image rather than presenting the symbol as definitive evidence.

For a price comparison, capture each currency option under the same conditions: same product and variant, same page state, and the same capture scope. Identify the currency for each screenshot and keep the URL and date with the files.
A screenshot is not proof of the checkout amount
A screenshot records what the page displayed at capture time. It does not, by itself, show whether the displayed currency is the one the merchant will charge. WooCommerce’s documented currency converter, for example, says converted prices are informational and that customers still pay in the store’s base currency; that behavior applies to that converter, not every store or plugin. For merchant listings, Google Merchant Center guidance says product currency should match the target country’s official currency in product data and on the landing page and checkout. It also addresses cases where multiple currencies appear on a landing page and says payment must be available in the listed currency. This is merchant-listing guidance, not a universal legal rule for every seller. Currency selectors also depend on site configuration. Adobe Commerce documentation, for instance, says its currency chooser appears on a store supporting multiple currencies after exchange rates have been updated; that is platform-specific behavior, not a guarantee for every website. Troubleshooting
- The price still shows the previous currency: Wait for the page to finish refreshing or updating. Confirm the selector’s current state before capturing.
- The screenshot shows only a symbol such as “$”: Include the selector or a visible currency label/code. If the page does not expose one, note which option you selected separately and avoid treating the symbol alone as conclusive.
- The shortcut does nothing: Open Firefox’s page context menu and choose Take Screenshot. Shortcut behavior can vary by operating system or browser version.
- The price is tiny or hard to read: Use Save visible if the relevant details fit in the viewport, or make a focused selection that preserves the product and currency context.
- The checkout total differs from the product-page price: Check the checkout currency and payment options. Display conversion and charge currency can differ depending on the merchant’s setup.
