In Firefox, open Google and run your query, then use Firefox’s built-in screenshot tool to save either the visible results or the full page. For SEO research, label the image with the exact query and capture context: it records what appeared in that browsing session, not a definitive or universal ranking report.

Open Google in Firefox and run the search query you want to document.

Open the page context menu and choose the screenshot option. If you prefer a toolbar control, Firefox lets you add a Screenshot button to the toolbar; Mozilla explains both approaches in its Firefox screenshot instructions.

Choose Save full page to include content beyond the current viewport, or Save visible to record only what is currently on screen.

Download the image to Firefox’s default download location, or copy it to the clipboard and paste it into notes or a report. Mozilla lists Command+S and Command+C on macOS, and Ctrl+S and Ctrl+C on Windows and Linux.
Choose visible or full-page capture

Firefox also supports capturing a selected region or a part of the page it highlights automatically. These options are useful when the entire results page is not relevant to the record.
Capture the whole page or one element with Developer Tools
Firefox Developer Tools provide more targeted capture routes. Mozilla’s Developer Tools screenshot documentation describes full-page and element captures.

Under Available Toolbox Buttons, enable Take a screenshot of the entire page.

Use the screenshot button in the toolbox when you need a whole-page capture.
Capture a specific page element
In the Inspector, open the context menu for the element you want and choose Screenshot Node. This is useful when you need to preserve a particular result or page section rather than the full page.

Use the Web Console screenshot command
The Web Console screenshot command supports --fullpage for a whole-page capture and --selector with a CSS selector for a specific element. Mozilla’s Developer Tools tips also outline the whole-page, viewport, node and console-command approaches.
Label screenshots so they remain useful for SEO research
A screenshot is a record of the results page displayed in that Firefox browsing session. Save enough context alongside it for someone reviewing it later to understand what it shows.

Note when you captured it and the browsing context relevant to your comparison, such as the device or location you used, if those details matter to the project.

Keep the capture type clear: visible viewport, full page, selected region or element.
