To compare Google results in English and Hindi, run two separate searches and select each result language with Tools > Any language. Keep the query, location, device, and screenshot scope consistent, then capture each results page in Chrome. Label the files with their settings and date: each screenshot records what Google showed in that particular context, not a universal ranking.
How do I change Google search results language?
-
Search Google for your chosen query. Keep the exact query text the same for both runs if you want to isolate the effect of the result-language filter.
-
On the results page, select Tools > Any language.
-
Choose Hindi for the Hindi run. Capture that results page before changing the setting.

The Results Language Filter may not appear when English is the only selected language. If needed, edit the selected result languages in Search settings. Google describes this filter and its limitations in How Google knows what language to show in search results.
Do not select English and Hindi together when you need to compare them. A multiple-language selection returns results matching the selected languages as one combined set, rather than producing distinct English and Hindi result pages.
Does changing Google’s language change search results?
Google’s display language changes interface text, such as buttons; it is not a filter that forces results into that language. To target English or Hindi results, use the Results Language Filter or the language filter in Advanced Search. See Change your display language on Google and Google’s explanation of the result-language filter.

How do I keep the English and Hindi comparison fair?
Change only the variable you intend to study. For a comparison of result-language filters, use the same query text and keep the following conditions as consistent as possible:
-
Query: Record the exact wording. If you translate or transliterate it for one run, treat query wording as another variable rather than attributing every difference to the language filter.
-
Location or region: Use the same location conditions. Results can differ by location.

These are Chrome DevTools capture commands, separate from Google’s language controls. Chrome documents them in Device mode | Chrome DevTools. Menu labels or placement may change over time.
Label and compare the captures
Use filenames or a companion log that records the query, selected result language, region, device or viewport, and capture date. For example, a filename can identify a Hindi-filtered run and the corresponding English-filtered run without implying that either represents all users.
When reviewing the images, compare query wording, selected result language, location, device and viewport, date, result types or features shown, and visible organic-result order. Note any conditions that differ. The screenshots are evidence of what appeared under those recorded conditions, not proof of a stable or worldwide position.
Or skip the browser setup
ScreenshotNeo can return a webpage screenshot with one GET request. Its clean-shot steps accept cookie or consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers report the page verdict and billing status. It also provides an MCP server with screenshot tools for AI agents.
For example, replace the target URL with the Google results-page URL you want to capture:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://www.google.com/search?q=example -o shot.webpSee the ScreenshotNeo documentation for request options and setup. For comparable keyword-research captures, first set the language filter in Google and use the corresponding results URL; keep location and other search conditions consistent. ScreenshotNeo offers 1,000 screenshots a month free with no card, and paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for free ScreenshotNeo screenshots.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can one screenshot show separate English and Hindi result sets?
No. Selecting both languages combines them in one filtered set. Capture English and Hindi in separate runs to compare them.
Will a Hindi query show only Hindi pages?
No. Query language is one signal Google uses; use the result-language filter when you want to target a language.
