Scrape each product offer as a market-specific record—not as a product name with a price attached. Keep the observed page URL, country, language, price, currency, availability, condition, and any displayed shipping details together. Preserve the source values before parsing or converting them, then compare records only after accounting for localization differences.
Before extracting a rendered table, check whether the site provides a documented feed or API, or exposes structured product data. Those sources can be more stable and machine-readable than a page layout, but compare their market coverage and fields with what the page actually displays.
Decide what counts as an offer before collecting data
“Price” can mean several different things: a store’s displayed price, a seller’s marketplace listing, or a price confirmed after a delivery destination is selected at checkout. These values may differ. Define which one you need before writing a scraper, and record the context that determines it.
Build a market matrix listing each target country, language, currency, and relevant storefront URL. Include the delivery country or postal code if the site uses it to show shipping costs or availability. A country is part of an offer’s identity: do not infer it later from the currency symbol, language, or domain alone.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Displayed offer: the price and status visible on the localized page.
- Seller offer: a marketplace listing tied to a seller or item URL.
- Checkout-verified offer: a value confirmed after entering a delivery destination. Do not label a page-level price as checkout-verified if you have not completed that check.
Also decide how to identify the underlying product. Prefer an observed SKU, GTIN, or other stable product identifier when available. Keep that product key separate from offer rows: one product can have multiple sellers, countries, currencies, or localized URLs. A translated title alone is not a reliable key for merging products.
Choose the least brittle data source
Use this order as a starting point, then verify that the chosen source contains the markets and fields you need. A convenient source is not necessarily a complete one.
- Documented feed or API: inspect the site’s official documentation for a product or market-data feed. Check whether it includes the target countries, current price, currency, availability, condition, and shipping fields, plus how updates are delivered.
- Structured product data: inspect the page for JSON-LD or other machine-readable Product and Offer data. Check that it describes the specific product page and market you are collecting, not just a generic template.
- Rendered offer table: use browser automation when the offer data is only present after the page renders or requires ordinary site interaction, such as selecting a market. Extract the displayed fields and retain the page URL and market context.
Feeds and markup are not automatically interchangeable. A feed may omit a seller’s displayed shipping charge; markup may describe a product page but not every row on a category page. Conversely, a rendered table may expose visible offer details not present in structured data. Compare coverage, freshness, market specificity, and field completeness before choosing.
Google’s product-snippet guidance is aimed at individual product pages or variants rather than general category listings, and recommends distinct URLs for products offered in multiple currencies. Shopify documents country-specific market prices and country/language localization; WooCommerce documents feeds configured by country, language, and currency, with products lacking the relevant market-language translation excluded from that market feed. eBay’s product feed schema includes item URL, price, marketplace currency, availability, and condition. These examples show why the right source depends on both the site and the fields required.

Define a record that preserves raw and normalized values
Keep the original value alongside any parsed value. Normalization makes records easier to compare, but can also erase evidence of a parsing mistake or a market-specific label if you overwrite the source text.
| Field | What to store | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Product key | Observed SKU, GTIN, or another stable identifier, when present | Separates product identity from individual offers; do not merge on translated title alone. |
| Offer key | Seller or listing identifier if available | Distinguishes multiple offers for the same product. |
| Source URL | Exact observed URL, including the localized path or parameters | Localized pages can have distinct URLs and different values. |
| Market and language | Country/storefront and page language as observed | Do not infer market solely from a symbol, language, or domain. |
| Price | Original displayed text and parsed numeric value | Retaining both makes locale parsing auditable. |
| Currency | Original currency text, if present, and ISO 4217 code when confidently identified | A numeric amount without its currency is not comparable across markets. |
| Availability and condition | Original labels, plus a normalized value only when the mapping is clear | Availability and condition can vary by offer and market. |
| Shipping | Displayed destination, charge, and original wording, if exposed | Shipping may be destination-specific and should not be assumed to carry across countries. |
| Collection metadata | Retrieval timestamp and parser version | Helps investigate stale data and changes in markup; these are implementation recommendations, not fields guaranteed by a source. |
Google documents Offer price and priceCurrency fields, uses three-letter ISO 4217 currency codes, and provides availability and shipping-destination fields. Its Merchant Center localization guidance also treats language, price, currency, delivery information, and target-country costs as market-dependent. Preserve the original source values even when your normalized schema uses a smaller set of labels.
Scrape a rendered HTML offer table with Python
The example below is a small starting point for a table whose rows are present in the returned HTML. Replace the URL and CSS selectors with the actual page and table selectors you are authorized to collect. It records cell text and row links without assuming that a price symbol identifies a currency or that a page’s language identifies its market.
Install the dependencies with python -m pip install requests beautifulsoup4. Save this as scrape_offers.py and run python scrape_offers.py.

])
writer.writeheader()
writer.writerows(rows)
print(f"Saved {len(rows)} rows from {URL}")
This deliberately writes raw row text first. After inspecting the table headings and sample output, map columns such as product, seller, price, currency, availability, condition, and shipping into explicit fields. Keep the original row text too. A selector that works on one market’s page may not work on another; do not treat missing rows as proof that the market has no offers.
When the table is rendered by JavaScript
If the table is absent from the HTTP response, inspect the site’s documented API/feed options and its normal page behavior before introducing browser automation. A browser-rendered page can expose content that a simple HTTP request does not, but it also adds browser setup, rendering time, and more failure points. Use selectors based on stable attributes where possible, wait for the table or a known element, and record a missing-selector result rather than silently saving an empty dataset.
Do not attempt to defeat access controls or bot checks. Check the target site’s terms, robots directives, and applicable legal requirements for your actual collection plan; those conditions vary by site and jurisdiction and are not established by a general scraping recipe.
Normalize prices without losing market context
- Parse by locale. Decimal and thousands separators differ. Preserve the original string and select parsing rules based on the page’s known locale, not a guess based on punctuation.
- Attach currency to every amount. Store an ISO 4217 code alongside the numeric value when the source establishes it. Do not compare raw numbers in different currencies as though they were the same unit.
- Keep price basis visible. Record whether a value is displayed as tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive when the source says so. Do not silently equate the two or infer tax treatment without evidence.
- Handle conversion as a derived value. If you need a common-currency comparison, retain each original amount and add a separate converted field with the conversion date and source recorded. Do not overwrite the offer’s currency or imply that converted values were the prices shown to shoppers.
- Preserve availability, condition, and shipping separately. Keep source wording as well as any carefully mapped category. An in-stock label or shipping charge for one destination should not be applied to another.
Validate coverage market by market
Before relying on a collection, compare a sample of extracted records with the localized page or feed for every market. Validate more than whether the scraper returned rows:

- Does each row retain the expected source URL, country, language, and currency?
- Do parsed prices match the visible amounts, including decimal separators and discounts?
- Are availability, condition, and shipping present where the source exposes them?
- Are repeated rows genuine separate sellers or accidental duplicates?
- Does the localized page show offers omitted by a feed, or does the feed contain records not visible in the table?
- Did a selector stop matching after a page change, leaving a plausible-looking but incomplete file?
Use retrieval timestamps and parser versions to identify when a change began. Treat missing values explicitly as unknown or unavailable according to your schema; do not substitute a value from another country. Revalidate after changes to selectors, source URLs, locale settings, or parsing rules.

If you need a clean screenshot of a rendered offer page for review or documentation rather than structured row extraction, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. It does not replace a feed or table parser: use it to capture the page, not to assume that a screenshot is a structured product dataset. One GET request can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. For example, this cURL request saves a WebP shot of a target page:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://example.com/market/offers -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo documentation for API options. Cookie banners are accepted and removed before the shot, along with supported newsletter popups and chat widgets; those cleanup steps can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. An MCP server lets AI agents use screenshot tools. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots. Sign up for the free plan.
Common failures and what to check
- No table found: Confirm the selector against the current page source. If the table appears only after JavaScript runs, a plain HTTP parser will not see it; check for a documented feed/API or use an appropriate rendered-page method.
- Rows are present but fields shift: The table may use different columns by market or include nested headers. Inspect headings and map them per market instead of relying on fixed cell positions across all pages.
- Prices parse incorrectly: Check locale-specific separators and currency placement. Compare the parsed value with the preserved text before publishing or aggregating it.
- Currency is missing or ambiguous: Do not infer a code from a bare symbol when the page or market context does not establish it. Store the raw display and resolve the currency from a reliable market-specific source.
- Availability or shipping looks stale: Confirm the exact localized URL and delivery destination, then compare with the page or feed at the recorded retrieval time. Do not carry the value over from another market.
- Duplicate products appear: Separate product identity from offer identity. Multiple seller rows may be valid; translated names or similar titles are not enough to merge them.
- Request fails or returns an unexpected page: Check the response status and content before parsing, use a sensible timeout, and inspect whether the site has changed or requires a documented access method. Do not bypass a bot check or access restriction.
Performance, reliability, and operating cost
For repeated collections, prefer a documented feed or API when it offers the required country coverage and fields; it avoids repeated layout-dependent extraction. Rendered browser collection is useful when the page itself is the source of truth, but it generally requires more setup and waits for rendering. No universal speed or accuracy advantage follows from the source type: compare actual field coverage, update cadence, and operational stability for the site and markets in question.

Keep the collection proportionate to your need: request only the target pages and fields, avoid unnecessary repeat captures, and use a schedule appropriate to how quickly the offers change. Record failures separately from empty results so that a timeout or changed page cannot be mistaken for a market with no offers. Check access conditions and the cost or rate limits of any feed, API, or infrastructure you choose; they depend on the provider and target site.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I scrape a product listing page or an individual product page?
Use a listing when you need to discover multiple offers; use a product page when you need fields tied to one product or its variants. Verify which fields the chosen page type actually exposes.
Can I compare prices directly after converting them into one currency?
You can compare derived converted values if you record the conversion date and source, but retain the original market price and currency. Conversion does not make tax treatment or shipping terms equivalent.
Can Amazon’s locale-aware API design be treated as a general scraping source?
No. Locale documentation shows how that API handles marketplace context; it does not establish that it is an appropriate source for general-purpose product scraping.
