To capture a website on a particular weekday, create a recurring weekly schedule, choose the day and run time, and set the timezone deliberately. Then configure the page capture and verify the next scheduled run. You can do this in a screenshot service, a no-code automation workflow, or a server-side cron job.
Choose a scheduling method
Use a built-in screenshot scheduler if you want the schedule, captures, and history managed in one service. Choose a no-code automation workflow if you already use an automation platform and want to connect its weekly trigger to a screenshot action. Use cron with a screenshot API if you are comfortable managing a recurring server-side job.
These products’ documentation describes their own features; it does not establish comparative reliability. Check current plan limits, retention, and integration terms before committing.
Set the weekday, time, and timezone
- Select a weekly recurrence and the intended weekday. If selecting more than one day, confirm whether the service creates a capture on each selected day.
- Set the run time and choose a timezone where the scheduler allows it. Decide whether the schedule should follow a local clock time or a fixed UTC time.
- Review the displayed next-run time after saving. Check how the service handles daylight-saving changes if the schedule must remain at the same local time year-round; the cited provider documentation does not establish one uniform DST behavior.
- Enter the page URL and configure the capture, then run a test if available. Saving a schedule alone does not verify that the page renders as expected.
Pick capture and delivery settings
Choose what part of the page to capture
Use full-page capture for a record of the entire scrollable page, or viewport-only capture when the first screen or a fixed area is what matters. Keep the viewport or device profile consistent across captures so that a changed layout is less likely to reflect a changed capture setup rather than a site change.

Decide how captures are kept and sent
Check whether each run is stored and for how long. Decide whether you need every image delivered by email or webhook, or only a notification when a change is detected. Delivery channels, retention, and plan limits vary by service.

Allscreenshots documents weekly recurrence, timezone selection, stored history, and optional email or webhook delivery. It also offers change-only notifications based on pixel comparison, which can be noisy on pages with dynamic content. Its documentation says scheduled captures are available on every plan and email delivery is paid; verify current terms before relying on them.

Stillio’s support documentation says current plans offer daily capture or less frequent intervals such as weekly or monthly, while its Top Shot plan supports more frequent capture. It warns that monthly intervals can behave unintuitively because month lengths and timezone differences vary; that warning concerns its own scheduling behavior, not all screenshot services.
No-code workflow with Zapier
Zapier documents a workflow using Schedule by Zapier as the trigger and ScreenshotOne’s “Take Website Screenshot” as the action. The weekly trigger lets you choose day(s), time of day, and an optional timezone override. The cited workflow page does not establish image archiving, change comparison, or alert behavior, so confirm those separately if you need them.

Cron with ScreenshotAPI.net
ScreenshotAPI.net’s documented setup is to configure a URL and capture options in its dashboard Query Builder, choose a schedule, and manage recurring jobs in Schedule Requests. Its cron expression uses five fields in this order: minute, hour, day of month, month, day of week. The provider’s example for Monday at 08:00 is:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →0 8 * * 1
Treat this as ScreenshotAPI.net’s example, not a universal timezone guarantee. Confirm the scheduler’s timezone and cron dialect, and preview the next execution if that option is available. The provider says captures run server-side and are stored for later review.

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. Its API takes a URL in one GET request and returns an image or PDF; for a recurring weekday capture, call it from your own scheduled job and configure that job’s weekday, time, and timezone. The API call itself does not create the recurring schedule.
Example cURL request (replace YOUR_API_KEY and the target URL):
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for capture parameters. ScreenshotNeo can accept cookie and consent banners before capture and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and responses include X-Page-Verdict and X-Billed headers. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients.

Quick Recap
Troubleshoot a missed or unhelpful capture
- The capture ran on the wrong day or at the wrong hour: check the saved weekday, timezone, and next-run display. A UTC-based schedule will not necessarily match a local clock time, and DST handling is provider-specific.
- The run did not happen: confirm the schedule was saved and enabled, then check the service’s schedule history or job status. For cron, verify the five fields and confirm the host or scheduler’s cron syntax and timezone.
- The screenshot is incomplete or blank: check the URL and page access, then adjust the wait condition or delay if the page loads content asynchronously. Test a capture manually when the service supports it.
- Change alerts fire for irrelevant differences: dynamic ads, counters, overlays, or page-height changes can affect pixel comparisons. Hide changing elements where supported, and keep capture dimensions and settings consistent.
- You cannot find an old image or delivery: check the service’s retention and history settings, then verify that the selected email or webhook destination is configured. Do not assume every workflow archives images or sends notifications.
