“How to schedule property tour videos in a YouTube Live playlist” can mean three different things: release individual prerecorded tours at set times, host a scheduled Premiere, or broadcast a sequence of tours as an actual live stream. YouTube handles these as separate workflows: a playlist organizes videos, but its playlist instructions do not describe scheduling that sequence to autoplay as a Live broadcast. Choose the workflow that matches what you want viewers to experience.
Choose the right scheduling method

For an actual scheduled Live event, YouTube’s Live Control Room lets you schedule a broadcast, but scheduling the event and supplying its program are separate tasks. In an encoder workflow, connect the encoder with YouTube’s stream URL and stream key. Treat the key like a password. The cited YouTube playlist instructions do not say that a playlist can supply the sequence automatically.
Schedule each property tour as a regular video
- Upload the tour in YouTube Studio and enter its video details.
- Open the Schedule card.
- Set the publication date, time, and time zone, then select Schedule.
- To change the timing later, open the video under Content and edit or reschedule it.
Make the title and description specific enough to distinguish the property and its location. Check visibility and any required listing or brokerage disclosures before publication. These are editorial checks, not special YouTube scheduling features.
Mind the time-zone display: YouTube says the public watch-page date is based on Pacific Standard Time. A date shown to viewers may therefore differ from the date you see in Studio if you schedule from another time zone. Confirm the public-facing schedule when timing matters.

Use a Premiere for a scheduled group viewing
A Premiere is the native YouTube option to consider when a prerecorded walkthrough should feel like a shared event. You schedule a new video for viewers to watch with the creator and community; it is not the same as broadcasting media in real time. YouTube’s Premiere guidance describes this distinction. Use a Live event instead if the content must be a real-time broadcast or a sequence of prerecorded tours played as a live stream.
Schedule an actual YouTube Live event
- In YouTube Studio, select Create, then Go Live to open the Live Control Room.
- Open Manage, select Schedule stream, and create a new stream or reuse settings.
- Complete the event details and schedule it. Viewers may find the scheduled stream in their subscriber feed and select Notify me.
- For an encoder broadcast, connect your encoder using YouTube’s stream URL and stream key. Keep the key private, as anyone with access may be able to use it.
YouTube’s scheduled-stream documentation also describes an optional trailer. That feature has a separate eligibility threshold: the channel must have more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes, and the trailer must be 15 seconds to 3 minutes long. These conditions apply to the trailer feature, not to the general ability to schedule a Live stream. Check YouTube’s current scheduling guidance before relying on the interface or eligibility details, which can change.

Create a playlist to organize the tours
- In YouTube Studio, select Create > New playlist.
- Enter a title and description, choose visibility and ordering, add videos, then create the playlist.
- To manage an existing playlist, go to Content > Playlists. Add videos from search, a URL, or your channel library; drag videos to change their order.
- Share the playlist with viewers.
Playlists work well for grouping tours by neighborhood, property type, agent, or release series. They are viewer-facing organization, not a schedule for each upload or a Live broadcast. You can use a playlist alongside scheduled uploads or Premieres, but those are separate publication or event choices.

Broadcast a prerecorded playlist as a live stream
If tours must play one after another inside a YouTube Live broadcast, use a workflow that actually feeds the playlist to a live stream. YouTube’s native playlist-management instructions do not document this capability. Restream’s support page describes creating a video playlist and scheduling it to stream to YouTube, but that is a vendor-specific method, not a native YouTube playlist feature. Review Restream’s current instructions and verify the setup on your channel before promoting the event.

- Decide whether the event needs a public watch page, reminders, and sequential playback, or whether scheduled uploads or a Premiere will meet the goal with less setup.
- Check that you have the rights and permissions needed to show every video and any music or other material in it. A Live format does not remove copyright obligations.
- Run a private rehearsal to verify the order, playback, audio, and scheduled start. Operational reliability should be tested rather than assumed.
- Share the event link and communicate schedule changes. YouTube advises creators to choose a sustainable release schedule and allow audiences time to watch and engage with recent uploads.
Keep the schedule clear for property viewers
Choose a consistent cadence that your team can maintain, and tell viewers when it changes. YouTube Help says, “A consistent, sustainable release schedule is critical when building and fulfilling audience expectations and maintaining your well-being.” For a property-tour series, make each event’s property and location clear in its title and description, and avoid announcing a sequence as a Live broadcast unless it will actually be streamed that way.
