YouTube Studio schedules the live event; it does not schedule a rotation of prerecorded demo videos to play continuously. To run a timed broadcast, schedule the event in Studio and send it a feed from an encoder. To loop product demos around the clock, use an encoder or playout service that explicitly supports continuous prerecorded playback. YouTube’s official guidance does not document a native Studio feature for scheduling a multi-video playlist as a continuous live feed.
Choose between a scheduled demo and a continuous rotation

YouTube’s encoder guidance lists Gyre as a cloud service for 24/7 prerecorded streaming, but that listing does not establish its current pricing, terms, or every operational feature. Prepare before scheduling
- Enable live streaming early. YouTube says first-time live-stream activation may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave activation until the event day. YouTube’s encoder setup guide
- Allow setup time. YouTube recommends setting up the encoder at least two hours before the event and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start. These are preparation recommendations, not guarantees of setup time. YouTube live-stream tips
- Check demo rights. Use video, music, product footage, and other material you have permission to broadcast. A scheduled event or prerecorded format does not itself grant rights to copyrighted material.
- Plan your archive. Keep a separate recording for important demos. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Do not rely on a complete YouTube replay for a multi-day broadcast. YouTube’s archive guidance
Schedule a single product demo in YouTube Studio
- Open the live management page: in YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live, then open Manage.
- Create the event: choose Schedule stream. Reuse settings from a previous stream or create a new one.
- Set event details: enter the title, date and time, visibility, and other metadata. Share the scheduled watch page so viewers can find the event and set reminders. YouTube says scheduling lets you promote a stream. YouTube Help: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder
- Connect your encoder: use its direct YouTube integration if available, or enter the event’s stream URL and stream key in the encoder. The key authorizes the encoder to send video, so treat it like a password: do not share it publicly, and replace it if exposed. YouTube’s live-stream settings guide
- Start and preview the feed: start the encoder, confirm the picture and sound in Live Control Room, then select Go live when ready. Auto-start settings can change whether you need to start the event manually; check the event’s actual settings rather than assuming it will start unattended. Run a continuous rotation of prerecorded demos
For a true continuous stream, configure the encoder or playout service—not the YouTube event page—to play the demo files in sequence and repeat them. Before committing to a service, confirm that its current documentation covers the schedule, looping behavior, supported video inputs, and recovery behavior you need. YouTube’s scheduling feature creates and promotes the event; the encoder or playout system must provide the ongoing feed.

- Build and check the playlist. Put demos in the intended order, check transitions and audio levels, and make sure you have broadcast rights for all included material.
- Configure the playout. Set the service to play the files continuously or on a defined schedule. A local encoder generally needs the computer, software, and network connection to remain available for the duration; a cloud playout service runs the playback remotely. Verify how the specific provider handles a dropped connection or restarted job.
- Schedule the YouTube event. Create the event in Studio using the steps above, then connect the playout service with the event stream URL and key.
- Preview and monitor. Check video, sound, and playlist order in Live Control Room before going live. During the broadcast, monitor stream health and confirm any local backup recording is growing.
- Decide how to preserve the program. For an important demo, maintain an independent recording. A continuous run exceeding YouTube’s 12-hour archive threshold may not be captured as a replay.
Troubleshoot common scheduling problems
