StreamShark’s Live Scheduler (also called VOD2Live or simulated live) can play prerecorded video as a scheduled broadcast and send it to YouTube. The workflow is: confirm your account has access, prepare an active VoD using a profile that matches the schedule’s quality mode, create the Live Schedule, add and sync the video, then let it start at the scheduled time or use “Go Live Now.” StreamShark identifies YouTube as a supported destination, but the available instructions do not establish the current YouTube connection or authorization steps; confirm those in your account before relying on a broadcast.
Check access before preparing the broadcast
StreamShark says Live Scheduler is available to customers on subscription plans with a Dedicated Server attached. If you do not see the feature, ask your StreamShark representative or account manager whether your plan includes it or whether a trial is available. Do not assume it is included with every account.
Plan the schedule type, start time and quality mode before preparing the source. Live Scheduler supports one-off schedules, recurring schedules and continuous loops. A source VoD must be active and encoded for the quality mode you select; an incompatible source cannot be added.

Upload a new source
- In the StreamShark portal, open Video on Demand and add the source video.
- If the file is under 5 GB, the documented flow allows uploading it from your computer. For a larger file, upload it to the file bucket first, then select it from there.
- Enter the title, description and tags, choose the Live Scheduler HD encoding profile, and submit the VoD for processing.
- Wait until the VoD state is ACTIVE. It must be active before it can be used in a Live Schedule.
Prepare an existing VoD
Open the VoD’s settings, select the Live Scheduler HD profile and save. Allow time for encoding and processing to finish, then verify that the VoD is active before creating or updating the schedule.

Match the encoding profile to the schedule
The support guide recommends the Live Scheduler HD profile. If configuring encoding manually, its documented HD profile uses MP4 with 360p, 480p, 720p and 1080p qualities. Its legacy 4K workflow specifies MP4 with 360p, 720p, 1080p and 2160p qualities. Choose the schedule’s quality mode to match the VoD profile; do not assume a source prepared for one mode will work in another.
Content encoded with the Live Scheduler profile is intended for the scheduler and cannot be accessed directly as ordinary VoD. Upload, transcode and sync can take time, so prepare the source well before the planned start, especially for large files.

Create the Live Schedule
- Open Live Scheduler and choose Add.
- Enter a title, description and tags. Select the video player template and quality mode, and select an ingest if applicable.
- Choose the schedule type and timing:
- One-off: Set the date, start time and time zone. Multiple start times on the same day are supported.
- Recurring: Select dates or a date range, then configure the start times and time zone.
- Continuous loop: Enable Loop Content. You can set a scheduled start or start it manually.
- Enable privacy for the schedule if you need a protected schedule.
- Save or create the schedule using the portal’s current equivalent of the documented controls. Interface labels may vary as StreamShark updates its portal.
Add the video and wait for sync
- Open the schedule and choose Add Videos.
- Select the active VoD prepared for the schedule’s quality mode. A video can be added more than once; drag entries to change their playback order.
- Choose Update Live Schedule after changing the schedule’s contents.
- Wait while the schedule shows Syncing Content. When sync finishes, its state should become Scheduled or Ready.
Do not treat a saved schedule as proof that the content is ready to play: the sync state is a separate step. If your start time is close, allow a buffer for the upload, transcode and sync rather than starting preparation at the last minute.

Connect YouTube and start the broadcast
StreamShark describes Live Scheduler as supporting multistream destinations including YouTube, and its social-restreaming material says it can go live natively on YouTube. However, the current YouTube target-creation, authorization and account-side steps are not established here. Confirm the destination setup in your current StreamShark account or a current destination-specific StreamShark guide before scheduling a public event. Keep the StreamShark Live Schedule distinct from any YouTube event or destination configuration: creating one does not, by itself, document the other’s setup.

Once the destination is configured and the schedule is Scheduled or Ready, the scheduled broadcast starts at its configured time. Use Go Live Now to start manually; it can force a start even if the schedule has a future start time. Use Stop Broadcast to end it. Without Loop Content, the schedule finishes after its videos have played. With looping enabled, it continues until manually stopped.
Choose the schedule mode that fits the broadcast

Troubleshoot common setup problems
Live Scheduler is missing
The documented access condition is a subscription plan with a Dedicated Server attached. Check your plan with your representative or account manager rather than assuming the feature is available on all plans.

The video cannot be added
Check that the VoD is ACTIVE and that its encoding profile matches the schedule’s quality mode. If the source is still processing, wait for it to become active. For a manually configured profile, verify that it follows the documented MP4 and quality options for the chosen mode.
The schedule remains in Syncing Content
Sync follows upload and transcoding, so it may not complete immediately. Check that the content was submitted and the schedule updated after editing, then allow more time—particularly for large source files. Wait for Scheduled or Ready before expecting the scheduled start to proceed.

The broadcast does not appear on YouTube
First verify that the YouTube destination has been configured and authorized in the current StreamShark account. The available procedural documentation confirms YouTube as a supported destination but does not establish the current target setup steps. Also confirm that the schedule reached Scheduled or Ready and that its start time or manual start was triggered.
The playlist ends instead of continuing
A schedule ends when its videos finish unless Loop Content is enabled. Edit the schedule to enable looping if it should continue, and stop the broadcast manually when you want the loop to end.
