Schedule morning and evening sessions as separate YouTube live events when you want each to have its own start time, reminder, watch page, and archive. A 24/7 prerecorded loop is a different setup: it keeps uploaded material playing continuously but does not, on the evidence available, create separate daily events or switch automatically between morning and evening programming.
You can run both formats on one channel if they serve different purposes: scheduled live study sessions for planned appearances, and a continuous prerecorded stream for study ambience between them.
Choose a schedule that matches the kind of session

Use separate events if your audience should receive reminders for specific live appearances or if each session needs its own replay. Use a continuous loop when the goal is always-available prerecorded ambience. Neither approach guarantees attendance; choose start times that work for your intended viewers’ time zones and your own sustainable routine.
Schedule a morning or evening YouTube live event
- Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. Go to Manage and choose the option to schedule a stream. Create a new event, or reuse settings from a previous stream.
- Set the event details. Enter the date and time, title, and visibility, and review the other event settings. A scheduled stream may appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds, where viewers can select “Notify me.”
- Check reused settings before sharing. Reusing settings copies metadata, settings, and the stream key; it also copies the auto-start and auto-stop choices. Verify the new event’s date, time, title, visibility, and settings, then share the correct event link.
- Connect your encoder to that event. In the encoder, enter the event’s server URL and stream key from YouTube. Keep the key private: anyone with access to it could send a stream to your channel.
- Start the encoder and check the preview. Wait for the incoming video to appear in Live Control Room and confirm the picture and sound are right. Unless encoder auto-start is enabled, click Go live in YouTube to begin the broadcast.
- End the session deliberately. End the broadcast in YouTube and stop the encoder as appropriate for your configured workflow. Check that the event has ended rather than leaving the encoder running unintentionally.
YouTube’s operational advice is to set up the encoder at least two hours ahead and start it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled event. Use that lead time to check the preview, monitor audio and video, and confirm that any local archive file is growing. YouTube says expensive equipment is not required to get started.

Plan the morning and evening formats
Give each event a clear purpose
Make the event title and opening explain what the time block is for—for example, a quiet morning focus session or an evening review. A practical format can include a brief welcome and check-in, a stated study goal, one or more quiet focus blocks, short breaks, and a final progress check. These are format ideas, not YouTube requirements.
Keep the cadence sustainable
Pick times that suit the audience you want to reach and that you can maintain. YouTube’s scheduling guidance emphasizes a consistent, sustainable cadence and communicating changes to viewers. If a session time changes, update the event details and tell viewers rather than assuming they will find the new time.

Use the same link only when it is the same event
When morning and evening sessions need their own reminders and replays, create distinct scheduled events rather than treating one scheduled broadcast as a daily recurrence. YouTube’s encoder instructions describe scheduling individual broadcasts and controlling their start and stop; they do not establish native daily recurrence for separate morning and evening events.

YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived. Its archive guidance warns that streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all, so do not rely on a single all-day or indefinite broadcast to produce a replay. For an all-day concept where replays matter, use separate sessions shorter than 12 hours and keep a local recording as backup.

A 24/7 stream should not be described as guaranteed uninterrupted uptime. Plan for the possibility of a dropped connection, encoder problem, or missing archive, and decide in advance whether the priority is uninterrupted ambience or a reliable replay of each distinct session.
What study-with-me sessions can include
A 2022 study by Ge Wang and Yanxiang Zhang examined 800 Study With Me livestreams, looked closely at 20, and interviewed 12 streamers and 10 viewers. It discusses check-ins and progress reporting, and motivations such as seeking supervision, finding like-minded study partners, and accompanying others. The work concerns Bilibili, not YouTube, so it does not establish that a particular format or schedule will produce the same effect on your channel.
