You can schedule a separate YouTube live event for each weekday in YouTube Studio, but the reviewed YouTube Help pages do not document a recurring rule that automatically switches to a different playlist each day. Create and review each event individually, then check that each completed livestream archive is in the intended weekday playlist. Use India-local dates and times, and test the full process before relying on it.
“Livestream playlist” can also mean broadcasting a sequence of prerecorded videos as a live feed. That is a separate workflow; see Restream’s documentation for its scheduled playlist option.
First, decide what you mean by “livestream playlist”
- Organizing livestream recordings: You want Monday’s completed broadcast in a Monday playlist, Tuesday’s in a Tuesday playlist, and so on. Schedule separate events, then verify the playlist membership of each archive.
- Broadcasting prerecorded videos as a live feed: You want YouTube to show a sequence of uploaded videos as a livestream. This requires a service or encoder workflow that supports prerecorded playlist playout; it is not the same as assigning an archive to a YouTube playlist. Restream describes a scheduled playlist feature in its help documentation. Check its current features, eligibility, pricing and availability in India before choosing it.
The steps below cover scheduling separate YouTube events and organizing their recordings. YouTube’s reviewed help pages explain scheduling and playlist management separately; they do not document a native recurring weekday rule that automatically changes playlist selection.

Schedule a separate YouTube live event for each day
- Plan the week in India time. Write down the weekday, date, local start time and content theme for every event. When scheduling, check the date and time zone shown in Studio. Include the India-local schedule in your channel information or event descriptions so viewers know when to expect each broadcast.
- Open the scheduling controls. In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule stream. You can create a new event or choose Reuse settings from a previous stream. YouTube explains the process in its livestream scheduling help.
- Set up each weekday’s event separately. Give the event a title and description that identify its day and content—for example, “Monday | [series]” and “Tuesday | [series].” Set the date and time, thumbnail, audience and visibility for that event. If you reuse settings, review every copied field rather than assuming the previous event’s details are right.
- Confirm the stream source. If you are broadcasting with an encoder, use the stream URL and stream key provided by YouTube for the event. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance explains how to connect. If you are using YouTube’s mobile app, its mobile livestream help describes scheduling for later and selecting the scheduled stream from the calendar for eligible workflows.
- Publish and share the event. A scheduled event can appear as upcoming, and viewers may be able to select Notify me. YouTube notes that “Scheduling a stream lets you promote your stream”; see its livestream settings help. Share the event link and tell viewers about schedule changes.
- Repeat for every planned date. Treat each date as its own event. Do not assume reusing a stream’s settings creates a weekly recurring schedule or changes playlist membership automatically.
Put each completed livestream in the right weekday playlist
- Find the archive. In YouTube Studio, go to Content → Live and locate the completed broadcast. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. The limit and archive guidance are in YouTube’s livestream archive help.
- Check its details and visibility. Open the recording and confirm that its title and other details identify the correct weekday. Check that its visibility is suitable for your viewers.
- Check playlist membership. Add the archive to the playlist for that weekday if needed. YouTube’s playlist help covers managing playlists. Do not assume the archive was filed into the intended playlist just because the live event was scheduled.
Keeping each event and archive identifiable makes it easier to spot a wrong date, reused title or misplaced recording before viewers rely on the weekly schedule.

Test the schedule before using it for a full week
- Create one low-risk scheduled event using the same workflow you plan to use during the week.
- Check its event page, displayed start time and visibility. Confirm the time is the intended India-local time.
- Run the broadcast using your intended source and confirm that it ends as expected.
- Look for the recording under Content → Live, then verify its details and playlist membership.
This test is a practical precaution, not a YouTube requirement. It can reveal time-zone or archive-organization mistakes before they affect a regular schedule.
Choose the workflow that matches your broadcast
| Option | Best fit | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube Studio scheduled events | Separate events, including broadcasts with a live presenter or encoder. | Direct YouTube scheduling; create and review each event individually in the documented workflow. |
| YouTube mobile scheduling | A broadcast created and operated from a phone. | YouTube documents scheduling for later in eligible mobile workflows; this does not establish weekday playlist automation. |
| Third-party prerecorded playlist service | A sequence of prerecorded videos broadcast as a live feed. | Restream documents scheduled playlist playout, but its terms, eligibility, pricing and India availability should be checked separately. |
For an India-based schedule, use the local date and time shown in Studio as your reference and verify it with a test event. The reviewed official help pages do not establish an India-specific recurring playlist feature or a country-specific exception for this workflow.
