To run recorded Hindi church sermons as a 24/7 YouTube livestream, first schedule the event in YouTube Studio, then connect an encoder or cloud streaming service that sends the recordings to YouTube. Scheduling creates the event page; it does not play or loop the sermon files by itself.
Before you schedule: check channel eligibility and prepare the sermons
Confirm livestream access
The church channel must be verified and have had no livestreaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, according to YouTube’s livestreaming eligibility guidance. If the channel has never livestreamed, enable the feature well before launch: first-time activation may take up to 24 hours. Do not try to bypass an active restriction by sending the stream through another channel.
Choose the recordings and confirm rights
Decide which sermon recordings to play and in what order, including whether they should repeat. Before streaming, confirm the church has the rights to transmit the recordings and all included third-party material, especially music. YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions put responsibility for necessary rights, including applicable music licensing rights, on the provider; owning a sermon recording does not automatically clear the music in it.
Create the scheduled YouTube event
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live.
- Open the Manage tab and select Schedule stream.
- Create a new event or reuse settings from a previous stream. Set the title, description, visibility, and other available details, then save.
- Share the scheduled event page with the congregation. YouTube says scheduled streams may appear as upcoming in subscriber feeds, where viewers can choose Notify me.
For current interface guidance, see YouTube’s instructions for scheduling a livestream. The scheduled event is the destination for the broadcast; an encoder or compatible service must still send it a live video feed.

Connect a recording feed to YouTube
Get the stream URL and key
Open the event in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and retrieve its stream URL and stream key. Enter both in the streaming encoder’s connection settings. The key is a credential that lets the encoder send video to the channel, so keep it private and reset it if you think it has been exposed. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance explains the connection process.
Choose how the recordings will be sent
With a local encoder, a computer must remain running with the encoder and playback source active for the continuous broadcast. YouTube lists OBS among encoder options. A cloud streaming service can instead operate the feed remotely; YouTube’s regional encoder guidance mentions cloud tools for 24/7 prerecorded streaming, including Gyre. These are examples of categories and services, not a current feature or reliability comparison. Check a provider’s present YouTube support, looping behavior, monitoring, and recovery options before relying on it.

Whichever option you use, configure the source to play the intended sermon files or playlist and send that output to the scheduled event. Do not assume that creating an event will start playback or make files loop. Also check the event’s auto-start and auto-stop settings: YouTube says those options can allow starting or stopping from the encoder, but they are settings to verify, not an automatic consequence of scheduling.

- Set up the encoder stream at least two hours before the event, as YouTube recommends.
- Start the encoder at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start so you can check the incoming feed in Live Control Room.
- Confirm the event is accessible from the channel and watch pages, and check access from a mobile device.
- Listen and watch the preview for clear sermon audio, correct video, and the intended playback sequence.
- Check that the stream bitrate fits the available upload bandwidth. YouTube recommends leaving 20% headroom rather than using all available upload capacity.
These are YouTube’s operational recommendations, not a guarantee of uninterrupted operation. Its streaming tips cover encoder and network checks.

Plan the 24/7 operation, archives, and sermon discovery
Monitoring and continuity
A continuous stream needs a plan for checking that video and audio remain correct and that the feed reaches YouTube. Decide who will monitor it and how they will respond if playback stops, the connection drops, or the wrong recording plays. A local setup depends on the computer, playback source, encoder, power, and internet connection remaining available. For any cloud service, confirm its current operating and recovery features directly; the YouTube setup instructions do not establish a particular provider’s uptime or recovery behavior.
Do not treat one 24/7 stream as a complete sermon archive
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its DVR guidance says rewind can be limited or unavailable for very long streams, including beyond 12 hours. That makes one continuous 24/7 broadcast a poor substitute for separately published sermon recordings when viewers need to find and replay a specific message. Keep the original files and publish individual videos or shorter streams if on-demand access is important. See YouTube’s live stream DVR guidance.
