To save a Reddit post, open its overflow menu and select Save. Find it later in the Saved section of your profile: on desktop, use the profile’s Saved tab; in the iOS and Android apps, open the profile menu and tap Saved. Saving adds a way back to the post in your Reddit account—it is not a download or a guaranteed permanent copy.
Save a post on desktop
- Open the Reddit post you want to revisit.
- Open the post’s overflow menu.
- Select Save.
To find it later on reddit.com, open your profile and select the Saved tab. Reddit Help describes this feature as a way to save a post you want to revisit later. Reddit Help: How do I save a post and where does it get saved? (updated February 27, 2026.)
Save and find posts in the mobile app
- On iOS or Android, open the post’s overflow menu in the upper-right corner.
- Tap Save.
- To return to it, open your profile, tap the hamburger menu, and choose Saved.
Reddit’s Android app FAQ also confirms that Saved is accessed from the profile menu. Reddit Help: Official Reddit App FAQ for Android (updated February 26, 2026.)

Reddit lists saved posts and comments among account activity you can access after logging in. The Saved list is therefore tied to your Reddit account, rather than being an independent file stored on your device. Reddit’s account-information help page notes that the desktop website is the easiest place to find some account information. Reddit Help: Where and how can I access my Reddit data and information? The documented Save feature provides a route back to a post. Reddit’s help pages do not describe it as downloading the post, its media, or a preserved copy of content that is later edited or deleted. Treat Saved as a convenient reading list, not an offline archive or promise that the original will remain available and unchanged.
Would a Reddit data request give you a copy of saved posts?
Reddit offers a separate process for requesting a copy of your account data. Its help page says preparing a requested copy may take up to 30 days, but it does not confirm that saved posts are included in the archive. Do not rely on a data request as a verified export of your Saved list. Reddit Help: How do I request a copy of my Reddit data and information? (updated March 19, 2026.)

Which option should you use?
| Option | Convenience | Account dependence | What it keeps |
|---|---|---|---|

| Reddit data request | Requires a separate request; preparation may take up to 30 days, according to Reddit Help. | Requested through Reddit’s account-data process. | The cited request page does not establish whether saved posts appear in the archive. |
For ordinary revisiting, use Reddit’s Saved list. If you need an independent copy of a post’s contents, the cited Reddit documentation does not establish that either the Saved list or a data request provides one.
