In Chrome on Android, save a page with More > Add to bookmarks. Find it later under More > Bookmarks, where you can edit it, move it into a folder, change the list order, or delete it. Phone menus and tablet bookmark-bar controls differ, and bookmarks appear on other devices only when the relevant Google Account sign-in and sync settings allow it.
How do I save a bookmark in Chrome on Android?
- Open the page you want to save in Chrome.
- Tap More beside the address bar.
- Tap Add to bookmarks.
Chrome adds the page to your bookmarks. Google’s Chrome Help instructions for Android document this menu path.
Where do I find and open my bookmarks?
- Tap More > Bookmarks.
- If Chrome’s address bar is at the bottom of the screen, swipe up on it first, then tap Bookmarks.
- Open the folder where the page is saved and tap the bookmark. To locate a particular item, use the Search your bookmarks bar when it appears.
How do I edit, move, or delete a bookmark?
Edit a bookmark
In the bookmarks list, tap the bookmark’s More menu, then tap Edit and make your changes.

- Tap the bookmark’s More menu.
- Choose Move to… and select the destination folder.
- Tap Move here.
Delete a bookmark
Tap the bookmark’s More menu and choose Delete. Google warns: “Once you’ve deleted a bookmark, you can’t get it back.” Treat deletion as permanent; Google’s instructions do not describe a trash folder or recovery option.

How can I organize a collection of bookmarks?
Create folders and reorder items
To make a folder, go to More > Bookmarks > Create new folder. Folders appear at the top of the bookmarks list. To change the order manually, touch and hold a bookmark and drag it up or down.

Use folders when you want to group pages by topic or purpose; sorting changes their order without replacing that folder structure. Manual order lets you place items yourself, while date, last-opened, and alphabetical options arrange them by the selected criterion.

Google says Chrome can save new information, including bookmarks, to the Google Account when you are signed in. That information can be used on devices signed in to that account. If you are signed out, bookmarks and other information are saved only on that device. Availability across devices depends on the account you use and its selected settings, so signing in alone should not be treated as a guarantee that every bookmark is present everywhere.

Google also documents a Save in account flow for moving existing information stored locally on a device into the account. See Google Chrome Help on using Chrome with a Google Account for the account and local-data details.
What is the difference between bookmarks and Reading list?
Regular bookmarks are saved in the bookmarks collection and can be organized into folders. Chrome’s Reading list is a separate feature for pages you want to read later or offline; find it under More > Bookmarks > Reading list. Saving a page there is not the same as adding it to a regular bookmark folder. Google explains the feature in Chrome Help for Reading list on Android.

What differs on an Android tablet?
Google’s Android help documents a bookmarks bar below the Chrome toolbar on tablets. The full bookmarks list is also available through More > Bookmarks. The bar and keyboard shortcuts below are tablet-specific instructions, not universal phone controls.
