For a public admission webpage, open it in a desktop browser, choose Print, select Save as PDF (or the equivalent PDF destination), check the preview, and save. If you need a copy of an application you already submitted, use the admissions portal’s own download or print control first; it may provide an official application PDF that a browser printout cannot replace.
Save a public admission page as a PDF on a computer
- Open the university’s admission page and wait for its content to load. If the page is behind a login, sign in only through the university’s official site.
- In Chrome, open File > Print, or press Ctrl+P on Windows or Linux and Command+P on Mac. Google documents these print controls and the available print settings in its Chrome desktop printing help.
- In the print dialog, choose a PDF destination such as Save as PDF. The exact wording and available destination can differ by system.
- Review the preview for missing text, cut-off content, blank pages, and awkward page breaks. If the dialog offers settings such as orientation or scale, adjust them and review the preview again; results depend on how the university’s page is built.
- Select Save, choose a folder and filename, then open the PDF to confirm that the content is present and readable.
Save the page with Chrome on Android
- Open the admission page in Chrome and wait for it to finish loading.
- Tap More > Share > Print.
- In print preview, choose Save as PDF, select where to save the file, and complete the save. These steps are documented for Chrome on Android in Google’s Android printing help.
- Open the saved file and check that the pages are present and legible.
This route is specific to Chrome on Android. Other phones, browsers, and operating-system versions may use different menus.
If you mean your submitted application
Look in the admissions portal for a dashboard control such as Download, Print, or Application Status before printing the browser page. A portal may generate an application PDF containing information or formatting that a webpage printout does not preserve.

Check the university’s instructions before relying on the file
Indian admission sites do not all use the same process. Goa’s Directorate of Higher Education, for instance, links an admission guide PDF and gives document-format and upload-size instructions for its UG Admissions 2026–27 cycle on its admissions page. Those requirements apply to that page and cycle, not to every university. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi recommends an updated version of Firefox or Chrome on a laptop or desktop for its online application workflow; that is portal-specific guidance, not a general requirement for saving webpages as PDFs.
A browser-generated PDF is useful as an offline reference, but it does not itself submit an application or necessarily count as the formal copy a university requests. If the document is for an application, verification, or other official purpose, follow the portal’s instructions.

For a webpage you want to capture as a PDF, ScreenshotNeo offers a screenshot API and MCP server for developers. A single GET request can return a PDF; it can also return PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Its clean-shot options accept cookie or consent banners like a visitor and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. AI agents can use its MCP server tools, including take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf. These are developer tools, not a replacement for an admissions portal’s official application download.
Example request using the ScreenshotNeo API; replace the URL with the public admission page you want to capture. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for options, including PDF output.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
For a PDF response, request PDF output using the API’s documented parameters. ScreenshotNeo plans include 1,000 shots per month free with no card, and paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. Learn about ScreenshotNeo or sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month with no card.
