To archive your PF claim status, open EPFO’s official “Know Your Claim Status” service, display the result, then use your browser’s Print command and choose “Save as PDF” (or its equivalent). The PDF records what the page showed when you saved it; check EPFO again for later updates.
Open EPFO’s official claim-status service
EPFO lists “Know Your Claim Status” separately from “Member Passbook” in its employee services directory. Start from EPFO’s official website or member portal, and avoid sponsored search results or lookalike sites.
The exact route and fields may change. The current member portal requires UAN and password sign-in and depends on JavaScript. Follow the labels shown by the live official page rather than assuming every member sees the same form.
Display the claim status
Use the account fields requested by the official service. EPFO’s claim-status help describes selecting the office where the account is maintained and entering the PF account number; leave the extension field blank if the account has no extension. The detailed instructions appear in an older EPFO help document, so use the live page’s labels if they differ.

Some member services use UAN sign-in. Do not share your UAN password with another person or enter it on a page that is not an official EPFO service.

Print the result to PDF
- Wait until the claim result is visible in your browser.
- Open the browser’s Print dialog. Use the browser menu or its print shortcut; labels and shortcuts vary by device and browser.
- In the printer or destination selector, choose “Save as PDF” or the equivalent PDF option.
- Choose a private local folder and a descriptive filename, such as
PF-claim-status-2026-10-03.pdf. - Review the print preview. If it omits a section or makes text hard to read, adjust the layout or page range, then save again.
- Open the saved PDF and check that the claim status and relevant page content are legible.
This is a browser-based way to preserve the page as displayed, not a separate EPFO claim step. The browser workflow is not specified in EPFO’s reviewed help materials, and its controls differ across browsers and devices.
Choose the right PDF: claim status or passbook

EPFO’s older UAN member manual describes passbook downloads and transfer-claim-status functions separately. Its navigation may no longer match the current portal, so do not treat a passbook PDF as an archive of the claim-status webpage.

Protect the saved file and your account
A claim-status PDF may contain personal or claim information. Keep it somewhere private, and avoid posting it publicly or sending it to an unknown person or third-party conversion service. EPFO’s member portal warns against sharing passwords and responding to unsolicited requests for personal information or deposits; it states, “EPFO does not contact members to ask for any monetary deposits.”
