Yes. Run two independent streaming jobs on the same VPS: one with the Hindi playlist and that channel’s YouTube stream configuration, and another with the Tamil playlist and its own channel configuration. Keep their playlists, credentials, scheduled broadcasts, logs, and restart settings separate. YouTube’s API documentation says each channel needs a different live stream resource, while scheduled broadcasts belong to a channel (liveStreams; liveBroadcasts).
How the two-channel setup works
The VPS is the shared host, not a shared YouTube destination. Each job reads its own media list and sends encoder output to the matching channel’s ingest configuration. Configure Hindi and Tamil as separate jobs rather than trying to switch one job’s playlist, credentials, and schedule in place.
Hindi job: playlist_hindi.txt -> FFmpeg -> Hindi channel ingest URL and stream key
Tamil job: playlist_tamil.txt -> FFmpeg -> Tamil channel ingest URL and stream keyThis is an illustrative design, not a tested deployment recipe. Choose how to schedule each YouTube broadcast

In either route, confirm the channel’s current auto-start and auto-stop settings instead of assuming that sending encoder packets automatically publishes a broadcast. Prepare separate playlist inputs
- Make distinct media folders and lists. Keep Hindi files and
playlist_hindi.txtseparate from Tamil files andplaylist_tamil.txt. Check each list against its intended channel before enabling a schedule. - Check compatibility before concatenating. FFmpeg’s concat demuxer presents listed files sequentially as one virtual input. Its documentation warns that streams, codecs, and time bases need to be compatible; inaccurate duration information can produce timestamp gaps or artifacts. Normalize and inspect clips before relying on a recurring schedule. See the FFmpeg concat demuxer documentation.
- Test both jobs privately or unlisted. Verify that each channel receives the intended media and that the planned broadcast starts as expected before depending on the schedule.
Match operational instructions to the FFmpeg version installed on the VPS: the project notes that its online documentation is regenerated nightly (FFmpeg documentation).
Isolate the two jobs on the VPS
Use separate service definitions or scheduled jobs, working directories, environment secrets, logs, and restart policies. This is operational guidance based on the channel-specific YouTube resources; it is not a measured performance guarantee. Isolation makes it easier to find which channel failed and reduces the chance that editing one playlist or credential silently changes the other job.

- Store each channel’s stream key in a private secret file or protected environment setting, not in a script checked into source control.
- Keep each job’s playlist path and output settings explicit, and verify the destination channel before changing a key or broadcast ID.
- Choose what should happen after failure: restart the affected job, alert an operator, or both. Do not let a retry blindly publish to the wrong scheduled broadcast.
- Monitor CPU, memory, disk space, and network use while both streams are active. No universal VPS size follows from the available platform documentation.
Check copyright and channel suitability
Having permission to host a file on the VPS is not the same as having permission to broadcast its audio and video on YouTube. Use media you own or are licensed to stream, and check YouTube’s current copyright and monetization policies before building a recurring schedule. Keep each channel’s title, description, and other metadata appropriate to its Hindi or Tamil programming. The platform documentation cited here does not establish a mandatory Hindi/Tamil language field for separating schedules; the separation comes from the channel-specific broadcast and stream configuration.

Troubleshoot common failures
