Run one independent playlist and encoder process for each YouTube channel, and point each process to that channel’s own stream URL and key. A single VPS may host multiple processes, but its advertised CPU count or port speed does not prove it can sustain a particular number of continuous feeds. Check transfer limits and sustained network terms, then test every feed in YouTube Live Control Room before relying on it.
How the multi-channel setup should work
Keep the source playlist, encoder process, and YouTube destination paired separately for each channel. You do not necessarily need a separate VPS for every channel; the separation that matters is between each feed’s content and its destination credentials.

This one-to-one mapping is an implementation recommendation based on YouTube’s stream model. Google distinguishes a broadcast—the event or video—from a stream, the incoming audio-video feed, and says that a different stream must be created for each channel. See the YouTube Live Streaming API guide.

YouTube requires a verified channel and no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days; its eligibility guidance also covers age and account restrictions. In YouTube Studio, create or identify the live stream for each channel. Do not reuse one channel’s stream key as the destination for another channel. YouTube’s API documentation states: “If you have multiple channels, you must create a different stream for each channel.”

For each feed, record the channel identity, playlist/input, stream URL, and stream key together in clearly labeled configuration. Treat keys like passwords: restrict access to them and avoid putting them in public scripts, screenshots, or logs.

If you automate creation or management, the YouTube Live Streaming API can manage broadcasts and streams, but authorization must be for the account that owns the channel.

Keep each playlist attached to the right destination
On the VPS, create a separately supervised encoder process for every channel. Each process should read only its assigned playlist or input and send to only the matching channel’s RTMPS/RTMP ingestion URL and key. Label process names and configuration files by channel so that a restart or edit cannot silently send the wrong playlist to the wrong channel.
RTMPS is YouTube’s secure RTMP ingestion option; use the server URL and stream key shown for the relevant stream in YouTube Studio. The official encoder setup guidance is at Set up your encoder for live streaming. The exact playlist command, process manager configuration, and recovery policy depend on your chosen encoder and VPS setup; verify them for your implementation rather than assuming a generic command will work.
Do not confuse multiple broadcasts with separate feeds
YouTube’s API guide describes binding one continuing 24/7 stream to multiple simultaneous broadcasts, where a separate video can represent a subset of the same incoming feed. That example does not establish that one stream can carry different playlist feeds to separate channels. For independent channel playlists, configure distinct channel-specific streams and encoder destinations.

Estimate the VPS resources and monthly cost
There is no evidence-based universal minimum VPS size or validated stream-count-per-vCPU figure here. The capacity depends on whether you are copying/remuxing or transcoding, the number and bitrate of feeds, and the provider’s actual sustained network service. A “1 Gbps” port headline is not a promise of continuous throughput or included monthly transfer.
These are examples of provider-listed India plans, not endorsements or tested recommendations. Prices and specifications may change; check the provider’s current offer, billing terms, and applicable limits before purchase.

The listings do not establish real-world throughput, uptime, or how many streams either plan can sustain. Treat them as starting points for comparison only: Plex Scale’s India VPS listing and Endercloud’s India VPS listing.
Calculate transfer before choosing a plan
For a rough outbound-data estimate, multiply the sum of all channel bitrates by streaming hours. At 1 megabit per second, one continuous feed uses about 10.8 GB per day using decimal units (1,000,000 bits per second × 86,400 seconds ÷ 8). Multiply that estimate by the number of feeds and days in the billing period. Add headroom, and confirm whether the provider’s allowance covers outbound traffic, whether the figure is capped or fair-use, and what happens at the limit.
Compare the terms that affect continuous feeds

Sustained throughput: Ask whether port speed is shared, burstable, or subject to fair use; do not infer continuous capacity from a headline speed.

Test and monitor every channel before depending on it
YouTube recommends preparing encoders ahead of a scheduled stream, starting them before the event, previewing in Live Control Room, confirming the event is accessible, and monitoring audio and video. Apply those checks to every channel independently, as described in YouTube’s live streaming tips.

Copyright and channel-policy checks for looping video
Having permission to upload a video does not automatically mean every continuous live-stream use is cleared. Confirm that you have the necessary rights for the video, music, and any other material, including rights that cover the intended platform and use. Review YouTube’s current copyright guidance before putting a playlist on a continuous loop.
Copyright clearance is separate from monetization eligibility. Repetitive or reused material may affect whether a channel qualifies for monetization under YouTube’s policies, even where a rights claim is not the issue. Check the current YouTube channel monetization policies; do not assume that making a playlist continuously live makes its content original or monetizable.
Troubleshooting common multi-channel failures
