You can keep a Hindi video playlist streaming to YouTube while your personal computer is off by running a software encoder on an always-on Contabo VPS. The chain is simple: video files or a playlist source on the VPS, an encoder that sends the feed to YouTube Live, and a YouTube stream key kept private. You will need to configure the encoder and plan for monitoring and session restarts; the sources cited here do not document a turnkey Contabo-specific playlist app.
What this setup does—and what it does not
A VPS is a remote computer that stays available for the encoder process. It does not make a Hindi playlist live on YouTube by itself: an encoder must read the video source and send a continuous feed to YouTube’s live ingest endpoint. YouTube’s setup guide describes connecting an encoder with the server URL and stream key: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
The workflow below explains the required pieces, but it is not a verified one-click Contabo installation recipe. Choose an encoder that can play or sequence your video files, and confirm its operating-system support, playlist behavior, and restart options before building the VPS around it.

Check YouTube Live eligibility first
- Your channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days.
- If you are enabling live streaming for the first time, activation may take up to 24 hours.
These requirements and timing are stated in YouTube’s encoder setup guidance, accessed in 2026: YouTube encoder setup.

Prepare the VPS and video source
Choose a plan for a sustained outbound stream
Compare the selected Contabo plan’s current port speed and allocated CPU, RAM, and storage with the encoder and files you intend to run. The available documentation does not establish a minimum CPU or RAM configuration for this exact Hindi playlist workload, so do not treat a particular plan as universally sufficient.
Contabo describes port speeds by plan and subjects its traffic policy to fair usage; exceptionally high or disruptive usage may be throttled. A 24/7 broadcast is sustained outbound traffic, so check the current plan terms and monitor outgoing traffic after launch rather than interpreting “unlimited” as a guarantee of full port speed at all times: Contabo VPS documentation and Contabo traffic-limit support article.

Put the playlist where the encoder can reach it
Make the video files available on the VPS, or configure a playlist source supported by your chosen encoder. Check that the VPS has enough storage for the media and that the encoder can move from one item to the next without leaving the live feed idle. The official sources cited here do not specify a Hindi playlist manager or a ready-made Contabo application.

- In YouTube Studio, create or select the live stream you intend the encoder to feed.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key from the stream’s setup details into the encoder configuration. YouTube’s instruction is to enter the server URL and key in the encoder.
- Treat the stream key like a password. Do not show it in screenshots, put it in a public script, or expose it in logs. Restrict access to the configuration that contains it.

Configure and test the encoder
Use a stable ingest configuration
YouTube recommends RTMPS, the secure extension to RTMP. For a 1080p30 H.264 example, its encoder settings guidance lists 5 Mbps as the minimum bitrate and 14 Mbps as recommended. These are YouTube ingest guidelines, not a guarantee that a particular Contabo plan or route can sustain the chosen rate. The same guidance recommends a two-second keyframe interval and constant bitrate encoding where applicable: YouTube encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.
Use an encoder preset that matches the actual media and the VPS capacity. Higher resolution, frame rate, or bitrate increases the sustained network load; software encoding can also consume CPU. A 1080p30 H.264 configuration is an example, not a requirement for every Hindi playlist.

Run a private test before the broadcast
- Start with a test stream or the visibility and audience settings appropriate for a private check.
- Confirm the encoder connects to the RTMPS server URL and that the stream key is accepted.
- Check the Live Control Room preview and stream-health indicators while the playlist advances through more than one video.
- Observe network use and CPU load on the VPS long enough to detect instability under the intended sustained workload.
- Only switch to the intended public broadcast after the preview and playlist behavior are correct.
YouTube recommends testing before going live and monitoring the Live Control Room. Its guidance says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; it does not establish how a continuous stream beyond that duration will be handled. Verify current YouTube behavior for session restarts and archives instead of assuming a single encoder session will run indefinitely or create a seamless 24-hour archive.

Keep the stream running and diagnose failures

For a continuous channel, arrange a way to observe the encoder and VPS rather than assuming that the first successful connection guarantees indefinite operation. Keep the key out of diagnostic output and recheck stream health after recovering from a disconnect.
