You can run prerecorded Roblox gameplay as a continuous YouTube Live stream by sending the replay files through a live-stream encoder. First enable livestreaming on your channel, create a stream in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, then give the encoder YouTube’s server URL and stream key. Choose a local encoder if you want hands-on control and can keep a computer and internet connection running; use cloud playout if you want playback to continue without a computer at home. This is prerecorded footage, not a person actively playing live.
Choose how to play the replays continuously
YouTube Live receives video from an encoder. For a 24/7 replay channel, the encoder must keep sending video as files play and repeat. The two operating approaches are a local encoder running on your equipment or a hosted cloud playout service.

YouTube’s encoder guide lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 prerecorded-video streaming. That listing is not an endorsement. Compare providers on the factors above rather than assuming their features or recovery behavior.

Prepare your channel and replay library
Check livestream eligibility
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must have no livestreaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Its help page states that users must be at least 16 to livestream. Initial activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it before your intended launch. Confirm the channel’s current status in YouTube Studio.

Check the files and rights
- Confirm each replay plays correctly, has the intended audio, and is a file you have the right to stream.
- For a local setup, verify that the source files are intact and that your storage can hold the library you plan to play. YouTube recommends checking local archive-file integrity and confirming that an archive file grows during an event.
- Check music, other players’ footage, and third-party material separately. Owning or recording a gameplay replay does not by itself clear every sound or asset in it.
There is no universal storage-capacity figure for a replay library: its size depends on the files’ bitrate, duration, and number of videos. An external drive may help a local workflow, but choose capacity based on the library you actually have.
Set up YouTube Live and connect an encoder
- Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. Create or schedule a live stream and configure its title, audience, visibility, and other stream details.
- Copy the stream server URL and stream key. The encoder uses these to send the feed to YouTube. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not control your stream.
- Configure the encoder or hosted playout service. Add YouTube’s server URL and key, select the replay files or playlist, and set the playback behavior to repeat if you want the library to loop. Exact controls vary by encoder or provider; use its current instructions.
- Start with a private or unlisted test. Check YouTube’s preview and watch page, listen for audio problems, inspect the video, and view the stream on the devices your audience is likely to use. YouTube recommends testing before the event.
- Go public only after checking the feed. Confirm that the selected stream in Live Control Room is receiving the intended replay, then set the visibility you want and start the broadcast.
Operate and monitor the stream
A 24/7 broadcast is not a set-and-forget guarantee. YouTube recommends continuously monitoring audio and video quality. Check the Live Control Room and the viewer-facing stream, and have a plan to respond if the encoder, internet connection, source files, or hosted service stops sending video.

- For local playout, ensure the computer will not sleep or shut down, the encoder remains open, and the network connection and files remain available.
- For hosted playout, learn how to check stream status and what recovery is automatic versus what requires your intervention.
- Protect the stream key. If it is exposed or you suspect unauthorized use, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder or service with the new key.
- Check archives in Live Control Room rather than assuming a continuous broadcast becomes one complete recording. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; do not count on a single 24-hour stream producing one complete archive. Verify current archive behavior and plan shorter broadcasts if having complete archives matters.
Keep Roblox rights and YouTube monetization rules in view
Streaming rights are your responsibility
YouTube’s livestream terms require creators to have the necessary rights to use live content on Google services worldwide, including music licensing rights, and to comply with Community Guidelines and applicable laws. Roblox’s Terms of Use, effective May 19, 2026, say Roblox intellectual property may be used only as the terms allow or with separate permission from its owner. Check the current terms and applicable creator rules, and clear any third-party gameplay, music, or other intellectual property in your replays.

Those feature-specific rules should not be treated as automatic rules for every ordinary YouTube livestream; general Roblox terms and other applicable policies still matter.

Permission does not guarantee monetization
Copyright permission and eligibility for YouTube monetization are separate questions. YouTube says gameplay monetization depends on commercial-use rights granted by the game publisher, and warns that simply showing a person playing a game for extended periods may not be accepted. Its example of gameplay that may qualify includes step-by-step commentary tied to the action that adds instructional or educational value.
YouTube’s channel monetization policy also warns against repetitive or interchangeable content with little educational value, commentary, narrative, or variation, and reviews reused content at the channel level. A loop of your own replays is not automatically eligible. Meaningful original explanation, context, instruction, or substantive variety may help distinguish a channel’s work, but does not guarantee approval.

Troubleshoot common failures
