You can keep recorded yoga classes live on YouTube around the clock by sending them through a compatible software or hardware encoder, then monitoring the stream and planning how it will recover from interruptions. First verify that your channel can livestream and that you have permission to broadcast every part of each recording. For reliability and archive planning, build the schedule from shorter sessions and test the handoffs instead of assuming one stream will run or archive indefinitely.

What you need for a continuous prerecorded stream

YouTube’s encoder workflow is intended for a live feed that needs streaming software or hardware. The encoder sends video and audio to YouTube using a server URL and stream key from YouTube Studio. The recordings may be prerecorded, but the encoder still has to deliver the live feed; the sources do not establish a native YouTube feature that turns a playlist of recordings into a perpetual live stream.

  • A YouTube channel eligible to livestream, with verification complete and no live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days. YouTube also lists age and safeguards for minors among its live-start requirements; check the current account-specific guidance before scheduling. YouTube’s live-streaming requirements
  • Recorded classes and audio/visual material you are entitled to transmit publicly online in the territories where viewers may watch.
  • A compatible software or hardware encoder, a dependable upload connection, and an operator or recovery plan for monitoring it.
  • A sequence of recordings and a tested plan for session endings, restarts, and any network or power interruption.

Prepare your classes and rights before scheduling

Audit every recording

Make an inventory of each class and its instructor, music bed, images, logos, and inserted clips. Confirm that you own or have permission for each element, and keep the written permissions and license terms available to whoever operates the stream. Check that the permission covers public online transmission and the intended territories and duration. YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the content provider to have the necessary rights for exploitation of live content worldwide, including relevant music rights and public-performance permissions. Do not assume an upload music license covers live use

A track cleared for an ordinary uploaded video is not automatically cleared for a livestream. YouTube says Creator Music tracks available for licensing or revenue sharing can be used in long-form videos, but not in Shorts or live streams. Check the terms for every track separately; if its live-use permission is unclear, replace it with audio you created or have explicitly cleared for live transmission. Check obligations for your situation in India

YouTube’s terms require providers to meet applicable regulatory requirements in the territories where a stream is distributed, but that general platform language does not determine which Indian requirements apply to a particular creator, business, recording, or music repertoire. Verify the rules that apply to your circumstances rather than treating YouTube’s terms as an India-specific legal assessment.

Plan the schedule in manageable sessions

Make a daily sequence of classes and decide who will check the stream and respond if it stops. YouTube documents automatic archiving for streams shorter than 12 hours; do not assume a stream lasting 12 hours or longer will be archived, or that a single long session will remain uninterrupted. Plan shorter sessions, test the current Studio and encoder behavior at each handoff, and verify that the resulting archives are available as expected. YouTube’s encoder setup and archive guidance

  • Arrange recordings in the intended order and note their durations and titles.
  • Prepare a slate or short interstitial if you want a deliberate transition between classes.
  • Choose session lengths that allow you to test ending one session and starting the next; do not assume a seamless handoff without testing it.
  • Assign an operator or rota to check stream health and handle restarts, including outside normal working hours.
  • Test how the watch page, archive, and scheduled session behave before publishing the full daily schedule.

Set up and start the stream with an encoder

  1. Verify livestream access. In YouTube Studio, check that the channel is verified and eligible to go live. Confirm there are no live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days and review YouTube’s current age and minor-safety requirements. Get started with live streaming
  2. Create or schedule a stream. Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and create or schedule the session. Follow the encoder workflow in Studio to obtain the server URL and stream key. The exact controls can change, so use the labels shown in your current Studio account. Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder
  3. Enter the connection details in your encoder. Add YouTube’s server URL and stream key to the compatible software or hardware encoder that will play and transmit the class recordings. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it, share it unnecessarily, or expose it in screenshots. If it is compromised, use Studio’s stream controls to replace or rotate it, then update the encoder.
  4. Choose output settings for the source and connection. The cited YouTube guidance does not establish one bitrate or resolution that suits every recording and connection. Set the encoder to a mode supported by your source video and available upload capacity, and consult YouTube’s current encoder and streaming guidance for the chosen output. Do not upscale a lower-resolution class just to select a larger output setting. Before making this a recurring schedule, test the actual picture, audio, and network load at the chosen settings. 5. Preview before going live. Start the encoder and check the Studio preview. Confirm the intended class is visible, speech and any permitted music are audible at an appropriate level, and the correct stream is selected. Check the watch page on both a phone and a desktop before relying on the schedule.
  6. Monitor the live session and the next handoff. Watch the encoder state, YouTube stream health, upload capacity, audio, and watch page. Test how the session ends and how the next one begins; check archive retrieval afterward rather than assuming it succeeded.

Or let it run in the cloud

If you would rather not keep a home computer and connection running, StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded videos from the cloud; it does not stream from a camera or to platforms other than YouTube.

  • Nothing has to stay on at home for the cloud stream to continue.
  • Uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; there are no quality tiers or re-encoding.
  • Automatic recovery is provided if YouTube drops the stream.
  • The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. The monthly option is $9.99 per month.
  • UPI and cards are available in India; card checkout is available worldwide. Shorter and longer billing periods are also offered, and five or more slots can be discussed with support.

Make continuity a tested operating plan

YouTube warns that a connectivity disruption can break a stream and recommends bandwidth headroom; its guidance gives 20% as the recommended headroom. Treat that as planning guidance, not a guarantee that a particular connection will stay live. YouTube’s streaming tips

  • Measure the upload capacity available to the encoder under realistic conditions, with other household or workplace traffic in mind, and leave the recommended headroom above the stream’s requirements.
  • If continuity matters, arrange and test an alternate internet path rather than assuming a phone hotspot or second connection will work automatically.
  • Consider an optional UPS sized for the actual equipment load, such as the router and streaming computer or encoder. A UPS can provide backup power for its supported load and duration; it does not prevent every interruption.
  • Keep someone responsible for checking the stream, receiving alerts if available in your setup, and restarting or correcting the encoder when necessary.
  • Rehearse network loss, power loss, encoder restart, planned session end, and archive retrieval before treating the setup as operational.

Troubleshoot common failures

The channel cannot start a livestream

Check channel verification and live-stream status in Studio, including whether restrictions apply within YouTube’s 90-day lookback. Review the current age and minor-safety requirements on YouTube’s live-start page; if Studio shows an account-specific restriction, resolve it there before attempting the schedule again.

YouTube does not receive the encoder feed

Check that the encoder has the server URL and stream key copied from the intended Studio stream, and confirm it is connected and transmitting. If the key may have been exposed or is no longer valid, replace it using Studio’s stream controls and update the encoder with the new key.

The stream becomes unstable or breaks

Check the encoder state and available upload capacity first. Network disruption can break a stream, so reduce the load or adjust output settings in line with YouTube’s current guidance, restore a stable connection, and test the alternate internet path if you have one. Do not rely on a backup path until it has been exercised under realistic conditions.

Picture or audio is wrong in the preview

Confirm that the encoder is playing the intended class and that its selected source and output settings match the recording. Check audio routing and levels, then inspect the Studio preview before going live again. If the issue appears only on the watch page, compare the live preview and playback on another device to narrow down whether the problem is at the encoder or viewer end.

A long session has no expected archive

Check the session duration and YouTube’s current archive guidance. Automatic archiving is documented for streams shorter than 12 hours, not as an indefinite archive guarantee for longer sessions. For future schedules, use shorter planned sessions and verify archive availability after each test.

Check monetization separately

YouTube lists live ads, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and memberships as possible monetization features, subject to channel and feature eligibility. Availability does not guarantee that ads will serve or that a stream will earn revenue. Review the channel’s Earn and Live Control Room settings for its actual eligibility and controls.
