To keep recorded Tamil Christian prayer services available as a continuous YouTube live feed, use an encoder that sends the recordings to YouTube or a hosted prerecorded-stream service that does it for you. First confirm the channel is eligible to livestream, clear rights for every element in the recordings, and test the full sequence privately or as an unlisted stream. A normal video upload by itself is not a continuous live broadcast.
What a 24/7 YouTube stream involves
A continuous stream is a live-delivery workflow: an encoder or hosted service sends video to YouTube as an ongoing feed. YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation describes a channel broadcasting a 24/7 feed, establishing that this is a documented technical use case—not that every program is automatically approved or that YouTube guarantees uninterrupted service. YouTube distinguishes the incoming video feed from the viewer-facing broadcast in its API model. Most church volunteers do not need to manage those API resources directly; use the current YouTube Studio workflow or the selected service’s channel connection. Google for Developers: LiveStreams
YouTube lists encoder streaming among its live options. For prerecorded services intended to run continuously, the relevant choice is an encoder or a hosted tool that sends the video feed. Uploading a recording as a regular video makes it available for on-demand viewing, but does not itself make it a live feed.

Check channel eligibility before preparing the stream
YouTube’s current guidance says the channel must be verified and must have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube also states that the minimum age to livestream is 16. Check that the person responsible meets this requirement and can access the channel’s live controls before scheduling anything. YouTube Help: Get started with live streaming
The cited platform guidance does not identify a separate Tamil-language, Christian, or denomination-based livestream requirement. The church may still have its own consent, pastoral, or denominational policies; YouTube’s general livestream eligibility guidance does not settle those matters.

A self-hosted setup depends on the ministry’s existing equipment and internet; recording new services may also require recording gear. A hosted workflow can send prerecorded material without establishing that the church must buy a particular computer or camera.
Prepare the recordings and clear rights
Build a playlist that suits the purpose
Choose a recording or playlist long enough for the intended schedule. Confirm what the chosen encoder or hosted service does when a file ends: whether it repeats the file, moves to the next item, or stops. Also determine how an operator will notice if the schedule ends or the feed fails; the cited platform and vendor pages do not promise zero interruptions.

Review every element, not only the sermon
Check the sermon recording, background music, worship songs, lyrics, artwork, and any embedded clips. A song familiar to the congregation is not automatically cleared for recording and online streaming. A general permission to perform it in person should not be assumed to include those separate uses; this is a practical rights caution, not a jurisdiction-specific legal conclusion.
YouTube says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. If a match is identified, YouTube may replace the feed with a placeholder and warn the streamer to stop using the material; if it remains, the broadcast may be temporarily interrupted or terminated. Even licensed content can trigger an interruption unless the rights owner has added the channel to its Content ID allowlist. Set up and test the broadcast
- Verify access and eligibility. In the responsible YouTube account, follow YouTube Studio’s current live-stream setup flow and confirm verification and live access before the planned start. Menu labels can change; use the current YouTube Help instructions if a control is not where expected.
- Choose the delivery route. For a self-run setup, configure an encoder to send the prerecorded program as the feed. For a hosted setup, connect the YouTube channel and select the files or playlist according to that service’s instructions. OneStream documents selecting prerecorded files from a device, its library, or cloud storage and scheduling a 24/7 broadcast; its Enterprise requirement and 30-day maximum apply to that service only.
- Set the viewer-facing details. Create the broadcast using YouTube Studio or the selected service’s workflow. Use a clear Tamil title and description, and say that the program is prerecorded when that is the case. These metadata choices are useful ministry practice, not a special YouTube mandate for Tamil streams.
- Run a private or unlisted test. Check that the intended video reaches YouTube, audio is intelligible, the right recording plays, and the sequence behaves as expected at file transitions. Verify who will notice and respond if the feed stops before making it public.
- Publish and share the live link. Once the test and rights checks are complete, make the stream public and share its link where the congregation can find it. Assign someone to monitor the feed and chat if chat is enabled.
