You can run authorized, prerecorded Malayalam CBSE lessons as a continuous YouTube livestream by sending a playlist through an encoder or cloud playout service. YouTube does not require a particular computer, hardware encoder, or cloud service: choose the setup that suits your budget and how much local equipment you can keep running. Before streaming, confirm that you have permission to rebroadcast every lesson.
Check channel eligibility and lesson rights
Before setting up playback, check that the YouTube channel is verified and has had no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, and YouTube requires live streamers to be at least 16 years old. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility requirements.
Confirm that you have the rights or explicit permission to publicly stream each recording. A lesson being educational, associated with CBSE, or available to you as a copy does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube says livestream content must comply with its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Check the permissions for the specific lesson library before making the stream public.

YouTube’s encoder guide describes software encoders, dedicated hardware encoders, and cloud services as ways to send a live video feed. An encoder converts video into a digital format for YouTube. The choice is operational, not a YouTube prerequisite.

Create the YouTube livestream and connect the encoder
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. Create a broadcast or schedule it for the time you intend to begin.
- In the stream setup, copy the YouTube server URL and stream key into the corresponding fields in your encoder or playout service. Treat the stream key like a password; do not publish or share it.
- Load the authorized Malayalam lesson playlist in the selected encoder or service. Playlist setup and what happens when playback reaches the end vary by product; check its instructions rather than assuming YouTube provides one universal loop setting.
- Start the encoder, then check the preview in YouTube’s Live Control Room. Confirm that video and audio are arriving correctly before relying on the broadcast.
- When the preview is sound, start the public broadcast using the controls for your chosen workflow. Keep the Live Control Room and encoder’s monitoring available while it runs.
YouTube documents a continuing 24/7 broadcast model, but the exact automation, looping, and restart steps depend on the encoder or service. YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation also exposes stream health and configuration issue information for integrations that use it. Continuous operation is an engineering goal, not a guarantee that a stream cannot be interrupted.

Prepare lessons for continuous viewing
- Order the playlist intentionally, and make lesson titles and any on-screen context useful to Malayalam-speaking viewers.
- Preview representative lessons for clear speech, appropriate audio level, legible board writing and slide text, and correct playback order. Lesson text that is readable on a computer may be too small on a phone or when cropped.
- Choose the stream layout before going live. YouTube supports horizontal and vertical livestream options, and vertical livestreams can be discovered in the Shorts feed. A vertical crop may cut off board work or slides; preview it first, because YouTube says the vertical option cannot be added after the stream starts. See YouTube’s guidance on vertical live streams.
- Monitor the encoder preview and stream health after launch. If a configuration issue appears or the preview stops, check the encoder connection and settings, then follow the selected product’s documented recovery steps.
Plan archives and lesson retention
YouTube automatically archives streams that are under 12 hours. Do not assume one uninterrupted 24/7 stream will be saved as a single complete video. Keep the original lesson files separately and plan how to preserve useful recordings—for example, by arranging shorter broadcast sessions that fit the archive limit and retaining the source files independently. Check the archive after each session rather than treating the livestream as your only copy.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
