IRL Pro is documented as an Android app for broadcasting a live feed, not as a player for looping prerecorded videos. You can use it to send a phone’s live feed to a configured destination, but the reviewed IRL Pro guide does not explain how to load a playlist or keep one playing unattended around the clock. For a 24/7 prerecorded YouTube stream, first choose a source and encoder that explicitly support looping media, unattended operation, and recovery after interruptions; then connect that encoder to YouTube.
Can IRL Pro run a prerecorded YouTube playlist 24/7?
Not according to the reviewed official IRL Pro documentation. The guide describes broadcasting from Android over RTMP or SRT. It does not document a playlist player, a media-file loop, or an unattended 24/7 mode. That means you should not assume IRL Pro alone can play uploaded videos continuously.
A continuous prerecorded stream involves distinct parts: a media source that plays and loops the videos, an encoder that sends an uninterrupted feed, and YouTube’s ingest destination. The reviewed YouTube instructions explain connecting an encoder to Live Control Room; they do not establish IRL Pro as a playlist source.

Before configuring YouTube, verify that your chosen player, encoder, or hosted service can meet the actual requirement. Check its documentation and test it before relying on it for a channel schedule.

- Playlist playback: It can load the prerecorded files you intend to use and repeat them without manual intervention.
- Unattended operation: It can keep the source and encoder running for the period you need without depending on an open phone app or a person restarting playback.
- Recovery: It can resume or reconnect after a source, network, or YouTube interruption. Confirm what happens to the playlist position and whether intervention is required.
- YouTube output: It can send a compatible encoder feed to the YouTube server URL and stream key shown for your stream.
- Monitoring and archives: Know who will notice a stopped feed and what YouTube will archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; that is not a promise that a 24-hour stream becomes one complete VOD.
Set up IRL Pro for a live Android feed
If your goal is to broadcast what your Android device is capturing, rather than loop prerecorded videos, the documented IRL Pro workflow is a mobile live-feed setup. Enhanced IRL’s guide describes choosing RTMP or SRT, copying a publish URL from the dashboard, and entering it in IRL Pro. Follow the current instructions for your account and plan at Enhanced IRL’s IRL Pro guide.
- Check the plan limits. Confirm the bitrate cap that applies to your account before setting the app. The guide advises starting at a lower bitrate and testing mobile coverage; this guidance concerns mobile broadcasting, not a 24/7 prerecorded playlist.
- Choose a protocol in the dashboard. Select RTMP or SRT and copy the current publish URL provided for that configuration.
- Use the same protocol in IRL Pro. In the app’s broadcast connection settings, select the protocol matching the dashboard choice, then paste the publish URL. Do not mix an RTMP URL with an SRT selection, or vice versa.
- Set video quality within the applicable cap. Configure resolution, frame rate, and bitrate in IRL Pro according to the account’s current limits and the available network. The guide does not provide a universal setting appropriate to every plan or connection.
- Test the feed. Start broadcasting and check the destination and connection behavior. For a mobile feed, test the actual network conditions along the route you expect to use; a successful test on one connection does not establish unattended playlist playback.
Connect an encoder to YouTube
YouTube’s encoder workflow is separate from IRL Pro’s documented publish-URL setup. In YouTube Help’s live encoder instructions, you create or select a stream in Live Control Room, enter YouTube’s server URL and stream key in the encoder, start the encoder, and follow the steps shown in Live Control Room.

- Confirm channel eligibility. YouTube says live streaming requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and states a minimum age of 16.
- Create or select the stream in Live Control Room. Use the stream’s displayed ingest details for the encoder connection.
- Enter the YouTube server URL and stream key in the encoder. Use the values shown for that stream rather than substituting an IRL Pro publish URL. Keep the key private: Enhanced IRL’s documentation warns that a platform broadcast key grants access to the channel. If a key is exposed, rotate it.
- Start the encoder and follow Live Control Room. Check the stream status and any prompts there before treating the broadcast as live.
YouTube’s current help page lists a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. These are platform limits, not a recommendation to run multiple streams.

Is Enhanced IRL Cloud OBS a 24/7 playlist solution?
Enhanced IRL documents sending Cloud OBS output to YouTube after configuring the destination and starting the server. That establishes a possible hosted-output route, but the reviewed documentation does not establish that Cloud OBS can loop a prerecorded playlist or guarantee unattended 24/7 operation. Its lifecycle documentation says Cloud OBS is not continuously on by default: it turns off after about 30 minutes when it is not broadcasting and its desktop is not open. Before using it for this purpose, confirm directly that the configuration you plan to use can play and loop your files, remain active as required, reconnect after interruptions, and handle monitoring. The documented YouTube output path alone does not answer those playlist and uptime questions.
Plan for YouTube rules and long streams
Use media you have the rights to stream and consider YouTube’s copyright and monetization rules before scheduling a playlist. A live connection working correctly does not establish that the content is permitted or eligible for monetization. YouTube’s automatic archive statement applies to streams under 12 hours; do not assume a 24-hour broadcast will produce one complete archive. Decide in advance how you will handle any recording or archive you need.

Troubleshoot the setup
- IRL Pro connects, but no playlist appears: That is consistent with its reviewed guide, which documents a mobile broadcast feed rather than playlist playback. Select a separate player or encoder whose documentation explicitly supports looping local media.
- The destination rejects the feed: Check that the selected protocol matches the supplied publish URL, and verify that the URL is current. For YouTube encoder ingest, use the server URL and stream key shown in Live Control Room, not a different service’s publish URL.
- The mobile broadcast is unstable: Test the route and network you will use, lower the bitrate if it exceeds reliable available capacity, and keep within the applicable plan cap. Enhanced IRL’s lower-bitrate and test-walk advice is for mobile IRL broadcasting, not for solving unattended playlist operation.
- A hosted session stops while idle: Check the provider’s lifecycle behavior and whether its desktop or broadcast must remain open. Enhanced IRL documents an approximately 30-minute inactivity shutdown for Cloud OBS under the stated conditions; do not treat that service as an always-on playlist player without confirming the configuration.
- YouTube no longer receives the stream: Check encoder status, network connectivity, and the stream’s Live Control Room status. Confirm whether your source reconnects automatically; do not assume recovery simply because the encoder can connect initially.
- The stream key may have been exposed: Treat it as a channel credential. Keep it out of public screenshots and messages, then rotate it if compromised.
