You can loop Telugu devotional songs on YouTube with OBS by preparing music you have rights to stream, looping a local file or playlist in an OBS scene, and connecting OBS to a YouTube encoder stream. The computer running OBS must remain on and connected for the broadcast to continue; test and monitor the setup rather than treating it as an uptime guarantee.
Before you start: check channel access and music rights
Make sure YouTube Live is available
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the prior 90 days. First-time live activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it before the planned launch. See YouTube’s live-streaming access requirements.
Clear every recording you plan to broadcast
Use recordings you made, properly licensed recordings, or other material for which you have the necessary rights to stream. A devotional or religious subject does not itself make a song or recording free to rebroadcast, and owning a copy does not grant streaming rights. Keep permission records and ask the rights holder whether your channel must be allowlisted in Content ID.

YouTube scans live broadcasts for third-party content. A match may cause a placeholder to appear, interrupt the broadcast, or terminate it. Even licensed content can be interrupted if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel. YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams explains the platform’s rules; it does not determine the status of any particular Telugu song or recording.

Build a looping OBS scene

For a straightforward, predictable sequence, use a Media Source for one file or a VLC Video playlist with shuffle off. Add a scene in OBS, then add the chosen source and select the media. Put any text or image overlays above the background in the Sources list so they remain visible. OBS documents these options in its Media Sources guide.
Check audio and playback before going live
- Start playback in OBS and confirm the audio meters move while a song is playing.
- Listen to the output and confirm the intended audio device is selected if you use one.
- Check that the picture, overlays, and playlist order are correct, and that the loop behaves as intended.
- Use only a still image or video you are authorized to show alongside the music.
OBS and YouTube documentation do not establish a 24/7 uptime guarantee. A local playback source also depends on the computer, OBS, power, and internet connection remaining available.

Create a YouTube encoder stream and connect OBS
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. Create or schedule an encoder stream in Live Control Room. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown in Live Control Room.
- In OBS, open Settings → Stream, choose YouTube as the service, and enter the connection details as prompted. If using a custom server option, enter the YouTube stream URL and key in their corresponding fields.
- Keep the stream key private: it authorizes an encoder to send video to your stream. Reset it in YouTube Studio if you believe it has been exposed.
- Start streaming in OBS, then check the preview and stream health in Live Control Room before treating the stream as ready for viewers.
Set output quality and test the connection
Use settings your upload connection can sustain
YouTube recommends RTMPS, CBR bitrate encoding, and a two-second keyframe interval; the interval should not exceed four seconds. Its settings page lists 720p at 30 fps with a video bitrate of 2 Mbps as one option, not a universal best setting. Choose resolution and bitrate for the actual upstream capacity and desired picture quality. YouTube’s encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions page provides its recommendations.
Do not set the stream bitrate equal to the full measured upload speed. Leave bandwidth headroom for normal network variation and other traffic, as advised in YouTube’s live-streaming tips.

Run a realistic test
- In OBS, review Settings → Output and confirm the selected encoder and output settings.
- Start a short test stream with audio and motion similar to the planned broadcast. A static image with music can still be tested for sound, but include motion if the final stream will have it.
- Check OBS audio meters and monitor the sound for clipping, silence, or the wrong source.
- Review the stream preview and health indicators in Live Control Room; confirm the picture and audio arrive as expected before announcing the stream.
- Keep an eye on OBS and YouTube during the initial run for dropped frames, interruptions, or playback stopping.
OBS’s streaming guide covers setup and checks. A successful short test does not prove a computer or connection will remain available indefinitely.
Plan for interruptions and the YouTube archive
YouTube says encoder streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its guidance does not support promising a complete archive from a single broadcast lasting longer than that. If you need a complete recording, plan a separate local recording or shorter broadcasts, and verify the archive result in your channel before relying on it.

For a 24/7 schedule, decide who will notice a stopped stream and restart it, and test the handoff and recovery procedure. OBS playback, computer power, and the internet connection are separate potential failure points; the cited OBS and YouTube guidance does not promise automatic recovery from every interruption.
