1. Confirm your channel can livestream

- Create the stream in YouTube Live Control Room. Select the encoder workflow, configure the event, and use the stream key and server details shown there in your encoder. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish it or share it with people who do not need access.

Keep written records identifying what you may use, where, for how long, and whether livestreaming and archived playback are included.
Prepare for Content ID interruptions
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can cause a placeholder, interruption, or termination if it remains; an archive can also receive a Content ID claim after the stream ends. YouTube says even a licensed livestream may be interrupted if the rights owner has not added the channel to its Content ID allowlist. Do not use Creator Music as live-stream clearance
