You can run recorded tuition classes as a continuous YouTube Live feed by enabling live streaming on an eligible channel, creating a broadcast in YouTube Studio, and sending a looping playlist from an encoder. The stream can keep playing while the encoder and its computer remain powered and connected; YouTube documents a 24/7 feed model, but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. If you need dependable lesson archives, plan separate recordings or shorter broadcasts: YouTube’s cited automatic-archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours, not a single 24-hour stream.
Check channel eligibility and lesson rights first
Confirm the channel can livestream
YouTube says a channel must be verified and have no live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. Its getting-started guidance also states that a person must be at least 16 to livestream. Check the current status in YouTube Studio before building the schedule, and allow for any activation delay if you are enabling live streaming for the first time. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
Audit every recording before putting it on air
You are responsible for having the rights needed to use the material in your live content and for complying with applicable rules in the territories where it is streamed. Review more than the teacher’s lecture: slides, textbook excerpts, background music, guest appearances, and recorded student contributions can all create rights or privacy issues. Remove private student information where appropriate, and make sure the recordings comply with YouTube Community Guidelines. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches and may interrupt a stream; even a licensed work may require the rights holder to allowlist the channel in Content ID. Read YouTube’s livestream terms and copyright guidance for live streams.

Those platform rules do not settle which registrations, taxes, consumer rules, education requirements, or privacy obligations apply to a particular tuition business in India. These can depend on the operator, business structure, audience, and whether fees are charged. Verify the requirements that apply to your own operation rather than assuming YouTube’s guidance is a complete legal checklist.

Choose the operating model: encoder, schedule, and archive
Use a computer and encoder for a do-it-yourself loop
YouTube’s documented setup uses an encoder to send a feed to the platform. For recorded classes, choose encoding software or a hardware encoder that can play a playlist repeatedly. The cited YouTube guidance does not prescribe a computer specification or require a paid encoder, camera, or microphone to loop files. Use equipment you already have if it can play the files, stay online, and recover from interruptions.
A computer-based setup depends on that computer, encoder, power supply, and internet connection remaining available. A UPS is an optional way to reduce disruption from local power interruptions, not a YouTube requirement. Make a practical plan for restarting playback and reconnecting after a power, network, or software failure.

Decide whether to use one continuing feed or separate broadcasts
YouTube’s Live Streaming API distinguishes the liveStream feed sent by an encoder from the liveBroadcast event or video viewers watch. Its documentation describes a continuous 24/7 feed and a separate broadcast that can use the same feed. That explains the platform model; ordinary creators can work through Studio and encoder controls instead of the API. Neither the API design nor a successful test guarantees uninterrupted service. See Google’s explanation of YouTube broadcasts and streams.
Choose the broadcast arrangement around how viewers should find classes and whether you need archived videos. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. The cited guidance does not establish that a stream of 24 hours or longer will be archived as one complete video. If retaining lesson archives matters, run shorter broadcasts or maintain local recordings, then verify the resulting files and archives rather than relying on a single all-day stream.

Set up the YouTube stream and encoder
- Enable live streaming and confirm eligibility. In YouTube Studio, use the live-streaming setup flow and check that the channel can go live. If the channel is not yet enabled, follow the prompts and account for any activation delay.
- Create or schedule a broadcast. Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and create or schedule the stream. Set its title, description, visibility, and other metadata for the classes and audience. Choose private or unlisted for testing before making the feed public.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key. In the stream settings, copy the server URL and key into the corresponding fields in your encoder. YouTube uses these details to receive the feed. Treat the key as a password: do not publish or share it, and reset it if you think it has been exposed. Follow YouTube’s encoder setup steps and stream-settings guidance.
- Load the recorded classes as a playlist. Add the lesson files in the order you want viewers to see them, enable repeat or looping in the encoder, and check that playback moves from the last item back to the first. Avoid including material you have not cleared for use.
- Preview before starting the broadcast. Start sending the encoder feed, then check the Live Control Room preview before going public. Confirm that the correct class is playing, audio is audible, the picture is stable, and the watch page opens on both a phone and a desktop.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Start the event in YouTube Studio if required by the encoder workflow. Keep an eye on stream health, playback transitions, and the encoder’s connection. Test your restart and reconnection procedure during a private or unlisted trial, not for the first time during a public lesson.
YouTube’s setup and tips pages cover encoder configuration and stream-quality monitoring, but the cited material does not specify one universal bitrate, resolution, or keyframe setting for every file and connection. Use settings supported by your encoder and source material, consult YouTube’s live-streaming tips, and judge the actual preview and stream-health indicators before launch.
Keep the feed running and preserve lesson recordings
- Monitor the whole chain. Check that the encoder remains connected, the playlist advances, and the watch page continues to play. A continuous feed still depends on the encoder, its power, the local network, and the source files.
- Plan for failures. Decide who will restart the encoder and how to reconnect it if the computer, software, or internet connection stops. YouTube’s platform documentation does not promise continuous uptime.
- Keep a separate archive plan. The automatic archive guidance cited above is limited to streams under 12 hours. If a complete lesson archive is important, split the schedule into shorter broadcasts or record locally; check that local files are being created and grow as expected, and verify the uploaded archive after each broadcast.
- Separate technical success from monetization. A working 24/7 stream is not automatically eligible to earn revenue. YouTube’s monetization policy says content should be original and authentic; repetitive or mass-produced content falls under its inauthentic-content policy, and reused-content review applies at the channel level. The policy update dated July 15, 2025 clarified the inauthentic-content treatment. Do not assume that replaying a playlist will pass review or generate revenue. Read YouTube’s channel monetization policies.
Troubleshoot common launch and continuity problems
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| You cannot start a livestream | The channel may not be verified, may have a live-stream restriction from the previous 90 days, or live streaming may not yet be enabled. | Check the channel’s live-stream status in YouTube Studio and follow the eligibility and setup prompts before scheduling a public launch. |
| The encoder does not connect to YouTube | The stream URL or key may be missing, incorrect, or no longer the intended key. | Compare the encoder fields with the current stream settings in Live Control Room. If the key may have been exposed, reset it and update the encoder. |
| The preview is blank or the wrong class plays | The feed may not be reaching YouTube, or the playlist may point to the wrong file or playback source. | Check that the encoder is sending, inspect its selected source and playlist order, then confirm the expected lesson appears in the Studio preview before going public. |
| The stream stops after a local interruption | The computer, encoder, power, or internet connection may have stopped. | Restore the failed component, reconnect the encoder using the stream settings, and confirm playback in the preview. Use a private trial to rehearse the recovery process. |
| A 24-hour session is missing or incomplete in the archive | The cited automatic-archive assurance covers streams under 12 hours, not a continuous broadcast of 24 hours or more. | Do not depend on one long stream for a complete archive. Use shorter broadcasts or local recordings and verify the output. |
| YouTube interrupts the live feed or flags material | A recording may contain third-party material that matches a rights holder’s content, even if you believe you have a licence. | Review the affected material and your rights; where applicable, ask the rights holder about allowlisting the channel in Content ID. Do not assume a licence automatically prevents a live interruption. |
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps the loop running without a computer or home connection staying on; it can recover automatically if YouTube drops the stream. Every slot streams the uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot rather than quality tiers.
