You can run a 24/7 Odia songs stream from a home PC by sending an encoder feed to YouTube Live Control Room and keeping the computer, encoder, power and internet connection running. First, clear the rights for every song and the territories where you plan to broadcast: YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may interrupt or terminate a stream after a match. Then enable live streaming, configure and test the encoder, and plan separately for outages and archiving.
Before you begin: confirm channel access and music rights
Check that your channel can go live
In YouTube Studio, enable live streaming before preparing the broadcast. YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. The channel must be verified and must not have a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. YouTube’s current general guidance sets the minimum age for live streaming at 16. Check the channel’s eligibility and status in YouTube Studio before scheduling a long run: YouTube live-streaming eligibility.
Clear the rights for the actual songs and broadcast
Do not assume Odia songs are free to broadcast, that credit or attribution is permission, or that a song available online can be streamed continuously. Confirm that you have rights covering the recordings, the live broadcast, and the territories in which viewers may access it. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; a detected match can cause a placeholder to replace the feed, and continued use can lead to interruption or termination. Prepare the home PC and stream plan
Check the parts that must stay available
A home-PC broadcast relies on the computer, encoder process, audio/video source, power and home internet remaining available. Before launch, make sure the PC will not sleep, the encoder can continue playing the playlist, and you have a way to notice if the feed stops. YouTube’s setup guidance does not specify a PC configuration, residential connection speed, or uptime guarantee for a 24-hour run.
- Use a playlist and visual source you have tested through the encoder, including after a track changes.
- Keep the stream key private; do not expose it in a screenshot, screen recording or on-screen scene.
- An optional UPS may bridge a brief power interruption, but it cannot resolve an internet outage and is not a YouTube requirement.
Decide how you will preserve a replay
YouTube’s encoder instructions say streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That does not establish that a 24-hour stream will be archived in full. If you need a complete replay, plan a separate recording or archive method rather than relying on automatic preservation of the entire broadcast: YouTube encoder setup and streaming guidance.

Set up the stream in YouTube Studio
- Open Live Control Room: In YouTube Studio, select Create, then Go Live. Choose the Stream tab.
- Create or select the stream: Set up a stream for the broadcast or select the existing one you intend to use. Confirm its title, visibility and other stream details before going public.
- Connect the encoder: If your encoder offers a direct YouTube connection, use it. Otherwise, copy the server URL and stream key from Live Control Room into the encoder’s server/RTMP and stream-key fields.
- Start the encoder feed: Start playback and encoding on the PC. For a scheduled stream, wait for the preview to appear in Live Control Room and use its Go live flow when ready.
- Verify the live output: Check the preview, audio and stream-health messages before and after going live. Keep the Live Control Room available so you can see warnings or a dropped feed.
Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder with the new key.
Choose encoder settings your upload connection can sustain
Use YouTube’s current live encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions as the reference for a bitrate appropriate to your selected resolution and frame rate. There is no single bitrate that is correct for every PC, connection and output setting. Measure your available upload capacity, choose a quality that leaves room for normal fluctuations, and test it with the actual playlist and visual motion.

- Protocol: YouTube recommends RTMPS.
- Rate control: Use constant bitrate (CBR).
- Keyframes: Set a two-second interval; YouTube says not to exceed four seconds.
- Video codec: YouTube lists H.264, H.265 and AV1 as options. Ensure the selected encoder and YouTube workflow support the codec you choose.
- Audio codec: YouTube lists AAC or MP3. Its advanced-setting guidance recommends 128 Kbps stereo audio.
- Resolution and frame rate: Select them together with the corresponding bitrate from YouTube’s settings guidance, based on measured upload capacity. A static or low-motion visual may need less video data than fast motion, but YouTube does not publish a special Odia-music or 24-hour profile.
YouTube Help says, “Make sure to test before you start your live stream.” Test with similar audio and movement, listen for clipping or silence, inspect the preview, and watch stream health during the broadcast. If the connection struggles, lower resolution, frame rate or bitrate to a stable setting rather than pushing the highest possible quality.
Launch and monitor the broadcast
- Start the encoder and confirm that Live Control Room receives its feed.
- Listen to the preview at a useful volume and check that the visual is present and appropriate.
- Use Go live in Live Control Room if the stream is scheduled and awaiting launch.
- Keep an eye on stream health and messages during the run. A home PC stream is dependent on local power, internet and encoder operation; YouTube does not promise uninterrupted service for this setup.
- If the stream disconnects, check whether the PC is awake, the playlist and encoder are still running, the internet is back, and the stream key and server settings remain correct. Reconnect the encoder and confirm the preview returns before relaunching if the control room requires it.
Troubleshooting common problems
You cannot enable live streaming or start the stream
Check channel verification, age eligibility and any live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours for access to be enabled.

Live Control Room does not receive a feed
Confirm the encoder is running, the selected server URL is correct, and the stream key matches the intended stream. Re-copy the values from Live Control Room if needed, and keep the key private.

Compare actual upload capacity with the selected resolution, frame rate and bitrate. Lower the output settings to a sustainable combination, verify CBR and the recommended keyframe interval, and test again before continuing publicly.

The music is replaced by a placeholder or the broadcast is interrupted
YouTube may have detected third-party content. Stop and resolve the rights issue rather than repeatedly restarting the same uncleared playlist. If you hold a license, contact the rights holder about adding your channel to its Content ID allowlist.
The PC loses power or the internet connection
A UPS can help only with some brief power interruptions. It will not restore broadband service. Resume the encoder when the PC and connection are available, then verify the feed in Live Control Room.
The full 24-hour stream is not available as a replay
YouTube’s stated automatic archive guidance covers streams under 12 hours; it does not promise automatic archiving of the entire 24-hour run. Use a separate recording or archive plan if preserving the whole broadcast matters.
