You can run a Lakshmi mantra broadcast on YouTube by sending audio and a devotional visual from a streaming encoder to YouTube Live Control Room. But YouTube does not promise that a single broadcast will stay live uninterrupted for 24 hours: its documented archive guidance covers streams under 12 hours, and continuous operation requires a plan for restarts and failures. Before going live, confirm channel eligibility, secure rights to the exact recording, test the encoder, and decide who or what will recover the stream if it stops.

What you need before starting

  • A YouTube channel that is verified, has livestreaming enabled, and has no livestreaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. YouTube’s current guidance also sets a minimum age of 16 for livestreaming. Check eligibility in YouTube Studio because account status can affect access. YouTube livestreaming eligibility
  • A computer running an encoder, or a cloud service that accepts uploaded video and sends it to YouTube. YouTube documents encoder streaming but does not specify one required computer model or minimum PC specification.
  • A mantra recording and any visual that you own or are licensed to use for livestreaming on YouTube.
  • A stable internet connection capable of sustaining the encoder’s chosen bitrate, plus a person or recovery plan to handle outages and stream interruptions.

For an audio-first stream, you can pair the mantra with a still or gently animated devotional image. Every component—including the recording, performance, composition, artwork, and any animation—must be yours or properly cleared.

Set up the YouTube livestream with an encoder

  1. Open Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. Create a stream or schedule one in Live Control Room. Scheduling gives you a watch-page URL to share ahead of time.
  2. Choose the stream details. Add a clear title and description, select the appropriate audience setting, and set the scheduled start time if you are promoting the broadcast. Confirm the stream is public if you want viewers to find it.
  3. Copy the connection details. In the stream settings, copy YouTube’s server URL and stream key into the matching server and key fields in your encoder. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who gets it may be able to send a feed to your broadcast. Do not publish it or include it in screenshots.
  4. Configure the encoder input. Select the mantra audio file or playback source and add the cleared still image or video. Check that the audio is audible, free of clipping, and starts where intended; confirm that the visual is not blank or unintentionally obscured.
  5. Start sending the feed. Start streaming in the encoder and wait for YouTube Live Control Room to receive the signal and show a preview. Verify the title, audio, and picture in the preview before selecting Go live in YouTube.
  6. Monitor the broadcast. Keep Live Control Room open during the initial test and watch its stream-health messages. If YouTube reports a problem, address the listed cause before leaving the stream unattended.

YouTube describes the stream key as the encoder’s address/password for sending a feed. If it is exposed, reset it in the stream settings before the next broadcast.

Choose video, audio, and bitrate settings

YouTube recommends RTMPS for the connection, constant bitrate encoding, AAC or MP3 audio, and a keyframe interval of two seconds; do not exceed four seconds. Available video codec choices documented by YouTube include H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1, with frame rates up to 60 fps. The encoder and connection must support the settings you choose. YouTube encoder settings

Setting YouTube guidance or example How to use it
Connection RTMPS recommended Use the RTMPS server URL provided in the YouTube stream settings when your encoder offers the option.
Video encoding H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1; constant bitrate Choose a codec supported by your encoder and compatible with your planned resolution and frame rate.
Keyframes 2 seconds recommended; no more than 4 seconds Set the encoder’s keyframe interval to 2 seconds if available.
H.264, 1080p at 30 fps 14 Mbps recommended video bitrate This is YouTube’s recommendation for that video profile, not a universal minimum upload speed.
H.264, 720p at 30 fps 8 Mbps recommended video bitrate This is YouTube’s recommendation for that video profile, not a universal minimum upload speed.
Audio AAC or MP3; 44.1 kHz for stereo and 128 kbps stereo audio bitrate in YouTube’s advanced settings Match your encoder settings to the audio source and confirm the stream preview sounds clean.

These bitrate figures are encoder recommendations for the specified profiles, not promises about how much bandwidth any connection needs in every situation. Run a speed test, leave capacity for fluctuations and other network use, and test with representative audio and video before launch. A static visual may work at a lower resolution or frame rate in practice, but YouTube does not prescribe a special Lakshmi-mantra profile. A bitrate setting cannot by itself guarantee continuous availability.

Plan for 24/7 continuity and YouTube’s archive limit

YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its guidance does not establish what happens to automatic archiving at or beyond 12 hours, nor does it promise that one encoder session will remain live for 24 hours. Do not assume that a single all-day broadcast will be archived or uninterrupted. YouTube encoder setup guidance

Approach What it helps with Trade-off
One long session Fewer planned restarts and less operator work during normal operation. Automatic archiving is documented only for sessions under 12 hours; a long session still needs monitoring and a recovery plan.
Planned sessions shorter than 12 hours Each session falls within YouTube’s stated automatic-archive condition, and the next broadcast can be prepared in advance. Someone must manage the restart. A new session does not guarantee viewers experience uninterrupted playback, and the creator must respond if the encoder or connection fails.

For a practical workaround, schedule sessions shorter than 12 hours and plan how to restart with a fresh stream. This follows YouTube’s documented archive cutoff; it is not a YouTube-endorsed 24/7 architecture and does not guarantee uninterrupted service. In either approach, assign responsibility for power loss, internet loss, encoder failure, and a stream termination. YouTube’s reviewed setup guidance does not specify a recovery architecture or uptime guarantee for unattended 24/7 operation.

Clear rights to the mantra and visual

Do not assume that a traditional mantra or devotional recording is free to rebroadcast. A particular recording can have rights in its composition, performance, and sound recording. Obtain permission that explicitly covers livestreaming on YouTube, the territories and duration of use, and any relevant monetization. Keep written license records and check whether the rights holder must allowlist your channel through Content ID.

YouTube says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content and may be interrupted or terminated. Even if you have a license, a stream can be interrupted when the rights holder has not allowlisted the channel through Content ID. Its livestream terms require creators to have necessary rights, including applicable music licensing rights. YouTube Terms of Service · Copyright issues with live streams

Understand monetization limits

Ads and fan-funding features may be available to eligible channels, but YouTube does not guarantee that every viewer will receive a mid-roll ad. Its channel monetization policies also apply to livestreams and expect original, authentic material rather than mass-produced, generic, or repetitive content. An endlessly repeated recording paired with an unchanged image could raise a policy concern; YouTube’s published policy does not determine the outcome for this exact format, so monetization eligibility depends on the channel and YouTube’s review. Troubleshoot common interruptions

  • YouTube does not show a preview: Check that the encoder is sending to the server URL and stream key for the selected broadcast, that the encoder is running, and that the network can reach YouTube. Keep the key private; reset it if you suspect it was exposed.
  • Stream health reports connection or quality problems: Check the encoder’s selected resolution, codec, frame rate, and bitrate against the connection’s sustained capacity. Run a speed test, reduce the bitrate or video profile if needed, and test again before relaunching.
  • Audio is missing, distorted, or out of sync: Confirm the encoder is using the intended audio input and a supported AAC or MP3 configuration. Listen to the Live Control Room preview and correct the source or encoder settings before going live.
  • The stream is interrupted for copyright: Stop using the flagged material until you verify the rights and any required Content ID allowlisting. A license alone may not prevent interruption if the channel is not allowlisted by the rights holder.
  • The broadcast ends after a failure or planned restart: Follow your recovery plan: restore power or internet, restart the encoder, check the active stream details in Live Control Room, and start a new session if the prior one has ended. YouTube does not document a universal unattended recovery method.

Or let it run in the cloud

If you want the YouTube stream to continue without keeping a home computer online, StreamNeo is a cloud option for looping uploaded videos on YouTube. Upload the recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, then go live. The service keeps the video running from the cloud, supports the uploaded quality up to 4K at 60 fps for one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. It does not stream from a camera, and it streams to YouTube only.
