You can run a 24/7 Indian lofi music stream on YouTube by sending a continuous audio-and-video feed from an encoder: the music provides the audio, and one still image provides the visual. You can run the encoder on local hardware or use a cloud service. Before setting it up, confirm your channel can livestream and that you have permission to use every track and the image for continuous public YouTube broadcasting.
What a 24/7 stream with one image actually does
YouTube receives a live video signal from an encoder even when the picture never changes. In this setup, the encoder combines a static image with your lofi playlist and sends that feed to YouTube. YouTube documents encoder streaming as a supported method, and its API guide describes a 24/7 broadcast pattern. That example explains how a continuous feed can remain while another broadcast starts or ends; it is not a guarantee that a stream will never disconnect. Check channel access and rights first
Confirm live-stream eligibility
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. A person must be at least 16 to livestream. Check access before preparing a long-running stream; if livestreaming is unavailable, resolve the channel or age eligibility issue first. YouTube’s encoder livestream requirements

Use music and artwork you created or have licensed for public YouTube live broadcasting. Check that the permission covers continuous streaming, the intended territory, and the duration you plan to run the feed. Attribution by itself does not establish permission. The rights status of a particular Indian lofi track, playlist, or image cannot be inferred from its style or availability online.

Choose where the encoder will run
A local setup requires a computer or other suitable system, the encoder, and an internet connection that can stay available for the stream. A hosted setup moves that continuous work off your home device and connection. Neither option removes the need to test the feed, plan for interruptions, and decide how you will monitor it or update the playlist.
- Local encoder: You control the setup and playlist directly, but your hardware and internet connection must remain available.
- Hosted encoder: The service runs the feed remotely; compare restart and recovery behavior, monitoring, operating costs, and how playlist updates work before choosing a provider.
The official YouTube material describes encoder streaming and a 24/7 broadcast pattern, but does not compare particular hosting providers or establish their capabilities.

Set up and test the stream
- Verify the channel and live access. Confirm verification, age eligibility, and that the channel has no live-stream restriction that blocks access.
- Create or schedule the broadcast. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room, create or schedule a stream, and choose the encoder workflow. Follow the current prompts to obtain the stream destination and key. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish it or include it in screenshots.
- Prepare the still image and audio. Add the image and the licensed playlist to your encoder. Check that the audio loops or advances as intended and that the image remains visible for the full feed.
- Choose a stable video configuration. Prefer RTMPS, YouTube’s recommended secure extension of RTMP. YouTube’s encoder guidance supports H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and AV1 video, up to 60 fps, and AAC or MP3 audio. For one static image, a moderate resolution and 30 fps are usually a more practical starting point than maximizing frame rate or resolution. Use constant bitrate encoding and set the keyframe interval to two seconds; YouTube says not to exceed four seconds.
- Match the bitrate to reliable upload capacity. YouTube’s published H.264 examples are 5 Mbps minimum and 14 Mbps recommended for 1080p at 30 fps, or 3 Mbps minimum and 8 Mbps recommended for 720p at 30 fps. For stereo audio, its guidance specifies 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps. These are platform settings, not a measurement of your connection: run an upload-speed test and leave capacity for a stable feed.
- Test before making it continuous. Start a test with the actual image, playlist, and encoder settings. Check YouTube’s stream health and listen for clean, uninterrupted audio before relying on the setup for an extended broadcast.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Start streaming from the encoder and confirm the broadcast is live in YouTube Studio. Keep a plan for checking stream health and responding to a dropped connection or other interruption.
YouTube recommends testing before going live, choosing a quality that fits the available connection, and monitoring stream health during the event. Consult its current encoder settings and bitrate guidance if you change resolution, frame rate, codec, or audio settings.

A continuous schedule still depends on a functioning encoder, network path, and YouTube ingest. Google’s API guide illustrates a 24/7 broadcast that continues while a separate broadcast starts and ends; it does not promise uninterrupted service for every creator or configuration. Decide in advance who or what will notice an interruption, how you will restart the feed, and how playlist changes will be made without exposing the stream key.
