To run separate Tamil and Telugu music livestreams, create two distinct YouTube live events, connect each event to its own playlist feed in an encoder or cloud service that supports independent source routing, and test both streams before scheduling them publicly. YouTube documents creating and connecting multiple live streams, but its general guidance does not confirm how to loop two separate playlists in a particular encoder. Check that capability in your chosen setup rather than assuming it works.
What you need to confirm first
- Your channel must be verified and eligible for live streaming, with no live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time can take at least 24 hours. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance has the current requirements.
- You need two separate audio playlists: one Tamil and one Telugu. Each track must be cleared for livestream use in the relevant territories.
- Your encoder or cloud service must be able to take the two playlist sources independently and route each to the correct YouTube event. YouTube’s multiple-stream instructions explain repeating the event setup, but do not establish this source-routing feature for any particular application. Check YouTube’s multiple-stream guidance and the current documentation for your chosen tool.
You do not necessarily need expensive equipment to begin: YouTube supports encoder-based workflows, and a suitable computer or cloud encoder may be enough. The important constraint is whether your setup can independently handle both audio sources and outputs.
Create and label two YouTube live events
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live to enter Live Control Room. Follow the current interface to schedule a live event.
- Create one event for Tamil content and a second for Telugu content. Give each a distinct title, description, language, thumbnail, and watch-page link so viewers can identify the right stream.
- For each event, open its stream settings and note the stream URL and stream key. YouTube describes a stream key as similar to a password: keep it private and connect it only to the intended feed. See YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.
- Share each scheduled watch page separately. YouTube recommends sharing a stream link at least 48 hours before going live so viewers have time to find it and set reminders. YouTube’s promotion guidance covers sharing a live stream.
Creating two events is not the same as proving that one encoder instance can independently loop and route two playlists. Confirm that the tool supports two distinct inputs and outputs, or use a setup whose documented workflow explicitly does.

Prepare the Tamil and Telugu playlist feeds
- Build and label two separate playlists outside YouTube or in the playback system you plan to use. Keep the Tamil and Telugu files and queues distinct so you can identify the source during testing.
- Choose tracks with rights that cover livestream use, the intended territories, and any relevant public-performance obligations. YouTube’s livestream terms make the provider responsible for having the necessary rights, including music rights.
- Prefer original music, YouTube Audio Library tracks, or third-party tracks whose license explicitly permits livestreaming. Do not assume Creator Music tracks can be used in a live stream; YouTube’s Creator Music usage details say applicable Creator Music videos cannot be live streams.
- Check whether your playback and encoder setup can advance through each playlist and continue at the end. Verify looping behavior in the tool itself; YouTube’s general live-stream documentation does not specify how an external playlist is looped.
Connect each source to its intended event
- In the encoder or service, configure the Tamil playlist as one output and enter the stream URL and key for the Tamil event.
- Configure the Telugu playlist as a separate output and enter the URL and key for the Telugu event.
- Confirm the mapping before starting: Tamil source to Tamil event, Telugu source to Telugu event. If the software offers multiple outputs or sessions, use the configuration documented for your version; do not assume a single-session feature will handle two independent playlists.
- Start each feed and wait for YouTube’s event preview or stream status to show the incoming signal. YouTube explains encoder connection and preview in its encoder guidance.
The labels above describe the intended routing, not a verified configuration for a named encoder. If your selected tool cannot document or expose separate playlist inputs and event outputs, use a different workflow rather than risking the two languages being sent to the wrong event.

Test both streams before making them public
Use an unlisted or private test where available, and test each event on its own before relying on a simultaneous run. YouTube recommends checking the preview and monitoring stream audio and video. The playlist-specific checks below are practical verification steps:
- Open the Tamil event and confirm Tamil audio is audible; then open the Telugu event and confirm Telugu audio is audible.
- Let each playlist advance at least once. Check that the next track comes from the correct language playlist and that the queue behaves as intended at its end.
- Watch the event status and listen for silence, clipping, dropouts, or an unexpected source. Confirm the preview belongs to the correct scheduled event.
- Test the setup under the conditions you plan to use publicly. A successful test of one event does not prove the second output or simultaneous operation is supported.
- After the test, verify both scheduled event pages and their titles, descriptions, language labels, and share links before promoting them.
Handle music rights before going live
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted material, and may interrupt or terminate a stream. A license does not necessarily prevent an interruption if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. Review YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams; if a properly licensed track is still matched, ask the rights owner about channel allowlisting.

Plan for the archive as well as the live broadcast. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, and archived streams can receive Content ID claims after the broadcast ends. YouTube’s encoder guidance explains archiving. Keep your licenses and permissions available for any later claim or dispute.

YouTube describes two broad approaches to multiple live streams: run encoder software or hardware locally, or use a cloud encoder service. A local encoder puts encoding work on your device and can suit creators who want control and have a capable computer. A cloud service can reduce the load on your computer and simplify distribution, particularly when managing multiple channels. YouTube’s general multi-streaming guidance does not establish that any particular service can ingest two different playlists and route each to its own event, so confirm that exact feature and current pricing directly before choosing.
