To regain access to a Samsung Account, open Samsung Account sign-in from a Galaxy device’s Settings or Samsung’s account website, enter your account ID, and select Forgot password?. Complete one of the verification methods Samsung offers for your account, then follow its reset message to set a new password. The choices vary by region and by which recovery details you set up earlier.
Reset your Samsung Account password
- Open Samsung Account sign-in. On a Galaxy device, go through Settings to Samsung Account sign-in; you can also use Samsung’s account website.
- Enter your account ID and choose Forgot password?.
- Complete the verification Samsung offers. Depending on your account, this may use your primary email, a recovery email or phone configured in advance, or a previously set security question.
- Use Samsung’s reset message to choose a new password. Enter verification codes only in Samsung’s official recovery flow; do not share them with another person.
- Review the session option shown during the process, if one appears, to decide whether to keep other active device sessions signed in or sign them out. Some Samsung devices or services may ask you to sign in again after the change.
Samsung’s Saudi Arabia recovery instructions describe these routes, but the on-screen prompts may differ in other regions or with different account settings. Use your local Samsung support page if the labels or choices do not match.
Recover a forgotten Samsung Account ID
If you cannot remember the ID, use Samsung’s Find ID or Forgot ID option on the account sign-in or recovery screen. Depending on the flow, Samsung may show a masked email hint or request identity details, a previously configured recovery email or phone, and a verification code. After recovering the ID, return to Forgot password? to reset the password.
Choose a verification route you can access
Use the method Samsung actually presents for your account. A recovery address, phone number, or security question generally works only if it was configured beforehand; you cannot assume a new contact method will be accepted for immediate recovery.

- Primary email: Choose this if you can open the inbox associated with the account.
- Recovery email or phone: Choose one only if it was previously added to the account and Samsung offers it.
- Security question: Use it if your account has one configured and Samsung presents it.
- Two-step verification: Be prepared to complete it if requested at sign-in. Samsung UK says two-step verification is mandatory for accounts with a registered phone number.
Phone-number IDs are supported only in South Korea, China, and India, according to Samsung’s US account FAQ. That regional restriction concerns the account ID format; it does not mean recovery-phone verification is available only in those countries.
If you cannot access your recovery email or phone
Check whether another verification option appears, but do not expect Samsung to offer every method on every account. If you no longer have access to both the email and phone used for the account, Samsung UK directs customers to Samsung Customer Support. Contact support through the appropriate Samsung site for your country and follow its identity-verification instructions.

If the reset email is missing or the link has expired
- Check the inbox’s spam or junk folder.
- Confirm that you requested recovery for the correct account ID and email address.
- In guidance for Singapore, Samsung says the password-reset link is valid for 30 minutes. If it has expired, start a fresh reset request rather than reusing the old link.
The 30-minute validity period is stated by Samsung Singapore; treat it as Singapore-specific guidance, not a guaranteed limit for every country.
