To recover your HUAWEI ID password, start with two questions: can you still access the phone number or email address linked to the account, and are you already signed in on a Huawei device? If you can receive a verification code, use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen. If you cannot access the linked contact, submit Huawei’s account-change request before resetting the password. The steps and labels can vary by device and region, so follow the options shown in Huawei’s official recovery flow.
Choose the recovery route that fits your situation
| Linked phone or email | Already signed in? | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| You can access it | No | On the sign-in screen, select Forgot password? and follow the displayed verification steps. |
| You can access it | Yes | Huawei’s global FAQ gives this example route: Account center > Account and security > Security center > Forgot password? |
| You cannot access it | Either | Submit an account-change request to link a new phone number or email address, then reset the password. |
These are documented routes, not a guarantee that every account will show the same options. Huawei uses different labels on some devices and regional support pages, including “Account security,” “Reset password,” and “Account recovery.” Use the matching support site for your country or region if the menu on your device differs. See Huawei’s forgot-password instructions and common-problem FAQ.
If you can still receive a code
Open the HUAWEI ID sign-in screen and select Forgot password?. Enter the account details requested and complete the verification method Huawei presents, which may involve the linked phone number or email. Follow the on-screen instructions to set a new password.
If you are signed in on a device, Huawei’s global FAQ describes another route: open Account center > Account and security > Security center > Forgot password?. The exact wording or availability may differ by device and region. Huawei Vision has a device-specific recovery flow as well as a browser option; consult its Vision password-reset instructions if that is the device you are using.

If you no longer have the linked phone or email
A password reset depends on verifying that you own the account. If the linked contact is no longer available, Huawei says to submit an account-change request to associate a new phone number or email, then reset the password. Huawei Support Global puts it this way: “You will have to submit an account change request in order to link a new phone number or email address, then reset the password.” Start with Huawei’s official account instructions, and provide accurate information requested by the process.
Do not assume that an appeal or contact-change request will succeed, or that it will be completed within a particular time. Huawei’s Spanish support page describes a security-question-bypass request with a localized estimate of one to two business days, but that estimate applies to that specific optional request in Spain—not to ordinary password recovery everywhere. Review the Spain-specific instructions only if they apply to your region and situation.

If you are unsure which HUAWEI ID you used
Huawei says HUAWEI ID accounts are generally registered with a phone number or email address. Try likely account details in the forgotten-password flow. Huawei’s FAQ also mentions linked third-party sign-in as a possible verification route, but availability can vary by country; do not rely on it being offered for every account.

After recovery, review the account’s security details
Once you can sign in, check that your recovery and account information is current. The available settings can vary, but Huawei’s support guidance describes reviewing contact and security details, linked third-party accounts, and devices associated with the account.
- Confirm the phone number and email address linked to the account, including the security phone or email if shown.
- Review linked third-party accounts and remove a connection you no longer use, if the account settings provide that option.
- Check the devices associated with the account and remove any device you no longer recognize or use, following Huawei’s device-management instructions.
- When changing the password, look for an option to log out other devices if Huawei offers it for your account.
Huawei Canada documents account freezing and unfreezing and a device-management route; the menu may not match other regions. Use the Canada support page only as a regional reference, and use the correct country support site for your own account.

Password recovery is not account deletion
If your goal is to regain access, use password recovery or the account-change process. Deleting a HUAWEI ID is a separate action: Huawei warns that deletion is irreversible and permanently deletes related data. Do not choose deletion as a way to reset a forgotten password; review Huawei’s account FAQ before making that decision.
