As of October 7, 2026, Rockstar has not published a confirmed GTA VI-specific reporting process. Its available reporting instructions cover GTA Online, not GTA VI. Rockstar describes GTA VI as a single-player game scheduled for November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Until Rockstar provides GTA VI guidance, don’t assume the GTA Online steps or categories apply to GTA VI. See Rockstar’s GTA VI support information.
First, check where the content appeared
The right reporting route depends on whether the content is in a Rockstar game or on another service. Rockstar’s published reporting guidance covers GTA Online. For a political claim or harassment on a social network, livestream, forum, or messaging service, use that service’s own reporting controls; Rockstar’s GTA Online instructions do not establish authority over external posts.

If you encounter the content in GTA VI, check the game’s current menu and official Rockstar support guidance for a reporting option. No GTA VI-specific menu path or category is confirmed in the guidance available as of October 7, 2026.

What Rockstar’s GTA Online reporting categories cover
Rockstar says GTA Online players can report behavior or content they believe violates its Community Guidelines. Its listed categories include “Harassment or Bullying” and “Identity-Based Hate or Discrimination,” along with abusive communication, offensive player-created content, offensive online IDs, job descriptions or in-game text, and disruptive gameplay. The reviewed GTA Online list does not include a standalone political-misinformation category. Don’t label a political statement as harassment or hate simply because you believe it is false or objectionable. If the content also contains conduct that genuinely fits a listed category—such as targeted harassment, identity-based abuse, or a threat—describe that conduct accurately and choose the closest category actually offered by the relevant game or platform. Rockstar has not established how it would classify political claims in GTA VI.

Xbox: submit a report
For GTA Online on Xbox, Rockstar documents this in-game route:

- Open the Pause menu.
- Select Online, then Players.
- Choose the player whose conduct you want to report.
- Select Report, choose a reason or category if prompted, and submit.

PC: block or mute an unwanted player
Rockstar’s PC guidance describes blocking through the following GTA Online menu path: Pause menu > Online > Players > select the player > Show Profile > Player Actions > Block. Rockstar also points PC players to its GTA Online reporting guidance to report behavior. Its PC page does not establish this path as a GTA VI procedure. Read Rockstar’s PC abuse guidance.

Preserve the context and avoid spreading the claim
For a report to the relevant game or platform, keep the original post or message and enough context to identify what happened. Describe the specific conduct rather than repeating or reposting a disputed political claim more widely. These are practical handling suggestions, not additional Rockstar rules.
What to do about threats or immediate danger
Rockstar’s PC and Xbox GTA Online abuse guidance says to contact local police if there is a threat to personal safety. If someone appears to face immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement as appropriate. Platform reporting can document conduct, but it is not a substitute for urgent help. What is known about moderation—and what is not
Rockstar says GTA Online voice chat is monitored through Modulate for proactive moderation. It also says that, when necessary for player safety, some audio chat may be securely recorded and retained for a limited period, and that audio will not be sold or rented to third parties. Rockstar says moderation considers conversational and other contexts. These disclosures are about GTA Online and should not be taken as confirmation of GTA VI’s moderation or data practices. Take-Two Interactive’s 2025 Transparency Report gives company-level context, not a GTA VI prediction: across the services in the report’s scope, its “Bullying, Threats, Harassment” category recorded 1,135,444 player reports, 938,873 enforcement actions, and a 38.5-hour median action time. The report says the reports in scope were not processed solely by automated means and describes human moderator involvement. Check for official GTA VI guidance as the game releases
Rockstar’s GTA VI support information describes the announced game as a single-player experience coming November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The reviewed source does not provide a GTA VI reporting process or establish whether the game will later include multiplayer or user-generated content.
