To remove the common CapCut watermark, open the project, go to the end of its timeline, select the branded ending clip, and delete it. Then check the other tracks for logo overlays or branded template and stock elements, preview the whole video, and export. The exact controls differ between CapCut Online, desktop, and mobile.

First, identify where the watermark comes from

CapCut says that in most cases the watermark comes from a default ending clip or a built-in template element, not from the export itself. (CapCut’s template-watermark help.) That distinction matters: an ending clip can be deleted, while branding baked into another template or stock element may require replacing that element.

  • Branded ending clip: Remove the CapCut outro at the end of the timeline.
  • Another layer or asset: Find the logo overlay or branded template/stock element and remove or replace it.
  • Pro prompt or locked export control: This may involve a Pro-only asset or export option, rather than a watermark clip. Restrictions depend on the project, asset, platform, and current app version.

CapCut’s separate export guidance also identifies template outros, default template elements, and stock assets that may require attribution as possible sources to check. (CapCut’s watermark-free export help.)

Delete the ending clip on your platform

CapCut Online

  1. Open the template project.
  2. Scroll to the end of the timeline.
  3. Select the CapCut-branded ending clip and delete it.
  4. Check the other tracks for logo overlays or other branded elements.
  5. Preview the full video, then export.

CapCut desktop

  1. Open the project and find the ending watermark or outro clip on the timeline.
  2. Select and delete that clip.
  3. Inspect the tracks for hidden overlays or logos; replace branded template elements if needed.
  4. Preview the full video, then export.

CapCut mobile (iOS and Android)

  1. Open the project and move to the end of the timeline.
  2. Tap the CapCut ending clip, then delete it.
  3. Check for other watermark elements in the project.
  4. Preview the full video, then export.

If the watermark is still there

  1. Scrub through the entire timeline, not just the ending, and inspect every visible track for a logo overlay.
  2. Look for a template or stock element that contains the branding. Remove or replace that element if you want to keep the rest of the project.
  3. Preview the entire video before export to confirm the mark is gone from the edited project.
  4. If the project preview has no visible source for the mark but the exported video still shows one, contact CapCut support; its help guidance recommends doing so when the mark cannot be found in the project.

When a Pro prompt appears

A Pro prompt or locked export option is a separate issue from deleting an outro. CapCut’s help pages explain that some resources and export controls can be Pro-gated, but the restriction is not universal: it can depend on the asset, project, platform, and current version. (CapCut Pro features help; CapCut Pro subscription help.) If you want to export without using a paid feature, remove or replace the Pro-marked material. If the project requires that feature, follow the current in-app prompt or adjust the project to use available resources. CapCut’s terms distinguish free services from paid services, including CapCut Pro. (CapCut Terms of Service.)

CapCut’s help pages were retrieved on October 7, 2026, and interface labels or Pro restrictions may change. Use the controls shown in your current app if they differ from these steps.
