You can remap the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro’s four rear shortcut buttons directly on the controller in Classic mode. To edit broader profile settings, use Nacon’s Revolution 5 Pro app, then save the profile and send it to the controller.

Remap a rear shortcut button without the app
This procedure changes one of the controller’s four rear shortcut buttons in Classic mode.
- Press and hold the multi-function button for three seconds. The light ring around the right joystick flashes to indicate that mapping mode is active.
- Press the rear shortcut button you want to program. Its associated profile LED lights up.
- Press the controller button you want assigned to that shortcut. The profile LED flashes three times to confirm that the mapping has been applied.
- Repeat the selection and assignment steps for any other rear shortcuts you want to change.
- Press the multi-function button briefly to leave mapping mode and save. The light ring stops flashing.

Edit and save a profile with the app
Use Advanced mode when you want broader profile changes rather than only remapping rear shortcuts. Nacon’s documented workflow is to connect the controller to a computer, open the Revolution 5 Pro companion app, edit the desired profile and mapping, then save the profile and send it to the controller.
- Connect the controller to a computer. When connecting it to a PC, set the controller to PC mode, as Nacon advises in its support information.
- Launch Nacon’s Revolution 5 Pro companion app and choose the profile and settings you want to edit.
- Make the required mapping or profile changes.
- Save the profile, then send it to the controller so the changes are transferred.
The controller includes four profiles: Racing/Sports, FPS, Arcade/Fighting, and Infiltration. Nacon describes these presets in terms of their intended joystick response curves; those descriptions are manufacturer guidance, not independent performance findings. Nacon points users to the product page’s support/download area for controller software. The exact current app screen layout and version-specific labels are not established here, so labels may differ from those shown in older instructions.

Enable eight-way D-pad movement
If you cannot make diagonal movements with the D-pad, Nacon’s documented fix is to change the mapping in the app, save the profile, and send it to the controller.
- Connect the controller to a PC and open the companion app.
- Choose Edit profiles > Mapping (iii).
- Select the eight-way movement option.
- Save the profile and send it to the controller.
This is Nacon’s stated troubleshooting path for D-pad movement; consult its support page if the documented labels or steps do not match your app.

Compatibility and software
Nacon lists the Revolution 5 Pro as compatible with PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. For PC use, Nacon says to set the controller to PC mode. Its software and support downloads are available through the product page’s support/download area; availability and page contents may change.
