If Larix Broadcaster stops publishing after your Android phone loses Wi-Fi, reconnect the phone to a usable network, then open Settings > Connections > Advanced settings and enable “Don’t check network presence.” Return to the preview and resume or start the stream. This setting permits Larix to attempt a connection even when it has not detected network presence; it does not restore Wi-Fi or guarantee reconnection.
Reconnect Larix after Wi-Fi returns
- Reconnect the phone to Wi-Fi. Confirm the phone can access the internet; seeing the Wi-Fi symbol alone does not establish that the streaming destination is reachable.
- Open the Larix setting. In Larix Broadcaster, go to Settings > Connections > Advanced settings.
- Enable “Don’t check network presence.” Softvelum says this allows Larix to connect regardless of detected network presence when starting or resuming a stream. With the default behavior, Larix checks for network presence before starting and does not retry when the network occasionally goes offline. Softvelum’s Larix FAQ
- Return to the preview and resume or start the stream. Do this after network access is back. The setting permits a connection attempt; it does not promise that Larix will automatically resume an interrupted live session.
If Larix still will not publish
Check that the connection is usable
Verify that the phone is online and that the receiving server or streaming service can be reached. The Larix setting does not repair a Wi-Fi connection or make an unreachable destination available.
Confirm the selected connection and destination
Check that Larix has the intended connection selected and that its saved destination details match the current values provided by the receiving service. If you use RTMP, the URL includes the server and application address plus the stream name or key. Check both parts against the destination’s current setup instructions. Do not share your stream key publicly. For protocol-specific setup references, see Softvelum’s Larix documentation.
Larix Broadcaster for Android supports RTMP and SRT publishing, among other features, so the exact destination checks depend on the protocol you use. Softvelum lists Android protocols and app details.

Android setting versus the iOS reconnect option
Do not look for “Reconnect timeout w/o network” as the Android fix: Softvelum labels that control as iOS-specific. Its FAQ does list Reconnect timeout in Larix Advanced connections settings as the time Larix waits before trying to connect again, but the relevant Android recovery instruction is to enable “Don’t check network presence” and then resume or start the stream.
Android compatibility
Softvelum states Android 7.0 or later as the minimum supported Android version for Larix Broadcaster. If you are using an earlier Android release, the published minimum does not establish support for that device. See the Larix Broadcaster Android page.
