YouTube pays Super Chat earnings through your AdSense for YouTube payments account. For a payments address in India, Google currently lists wire transfer as the available payout method. To receive the money, complete any required account, identity, address and tax steps, add your Indian bank’s wire details in AdSense for YouTube, and meet the payment threshold.
How Super Chat payouts reach your bank
Super Chat lets eligible viewers pay to highlight messages in a live chat. It is a YouTube Partner Programme monetisation feature, not a separate payout system: YouTube earnings are paid through AdSense for YouTube. Google describes AdSense for YouTube as its programme through which YouTube Partner Programme creators get paid. To use Super Chat, you must be at least 18, live in a location where the feature is available, and accept the applicable Commerce Product Module. For payout setup, use the AdSense for YouTube account linked through YouTube Studio. Google permits one AdSense or AdSense for YouTube account under a given payee name, so check whether you already have one before starting another.

- Open YouTube Studio and follow the AdSense for YouTube setup flow. Use the account connected to your channel’s monetisation. If you already have an AdSense account under the same payee name, follow the linking prompts rather than creating a duplicate.
- Complete identity verification if requested. Follow the task shown in your account and submit the requested information.
- Verify your address if Google asks. Google may send a PIN to the physical address on the account. Follow the instructions in the account to enter it.
- Submit tax information. Google requires tax information from YouTube Partner Programme creators. Complete the tax task displayed in your account.

Add an Indian bank account for wire transfer
Confirm the payment option
In AdSense for YouTube, open Payments > Payments info and choose Add payment method when it is available. Google’s country table lists India as eligible for wire transfer for YouTube payments accounts, and not eligible for cheque, EFT or Hyperwallet. Payment options depend on the country or region of the payments address; if a method does not appear on your Add payment method page, Google says it is not available for that country. Enter the bank’s exact receiving details
Use the information exactly as your bank records it and as the form requests. Google’s India wire instructions list these fields:
- Account holder name
- Bank name
- IFSC
- SWIFT BIC
- Account number
Before saving the method, ask your bank for its instructions for receiving an international wire. Confirm whether it needs an intermediary bank or additional beneficiary-credit information such as FFC/FBO details, and how those details should be entered. Do not guess a code or account field. Google says the bank or branch must be in the same country or region as the payment address, so an Indian payments address requires an eligible bank or branch in India. Google’s current guidance describes a monthly cycle, but it is an estimate of payment processing—not a guaranteed bank-arrival date.

The threshold depends on the reporting currency of your payments account and applies separately to each payments account. If you have separate AdSense and YouTube balances, each must independently reach its applicable threshold before it is paid. A balance below its threshold rolls forward. What to do if a Super Chat payout is late
- Check the YouTube payments account balance. Confirm that the earnings have been finalised and the balance reached its applicable threshold.
- Look for holds or unfinished tasks. Review payment alerts and any identity, address, tax or other account requirements.
- Check when you last changed payment details. Google’s monthly requirements use the 20th as the cutoff for payment details and threshold status. A change after that date can affect the current cycle.
- Compare saved bank details with your bank’s instructions. Verify the beneficiary name, IFSC, SWIFT BIC, account number and any required intermediary-bank or beneficiary-credit details.
- Allow the wire-processing window. Google says to allow up to 15 working days after wire initiation. If the money has not arrived after that period, use Google’s wire-transfer troubleshooting steps and contact your bank with the transfer details. Tax considerations for creators in India
Google requires YouTube Partner Programme creators to submit tax information and may withhold U.S. taxes on earnings from viewers in the United States. You may also have tax obligations where you live. The applicable Indian treatment depends on your circumstances; Google directs creators to their local tax authority for country-specific guidance.
