To add a PayPal payment button to a manual-mode page, create the button in PayPal, copy its integration code, paste it into an Embed code element in the page editor, and update the website. The button code goes in the page body—not the site’s head-level custom-code field.
Add the PayPal button to a page
- Create the button in PayPal. Use PayPal’s button guide to create the button you need, then copy its integration code. PayPal’s button page does not provide enough publicly readable detail here to confirm the current screen labels or available options.
- Open the manual-mode website editor. Navigate to the page and position where the payment button should appear, then add an Embed code element.
- Enter the integration code. Select the element, choose Enter code, and paste the code copied from PayPal.
- Update the website. Publish the change by updating the site. The builder’s instructions say the button is live after this step.

Use the right code field
The PayPal button belongs in the page body, so use the Embed code element. Code intended for the page’s <head> belongs in the site’s Custom code field under integrations settings instead. These controls serve different purposes; the PayPal button workflow calls for the body embed. See the custom-code instructions for the distinction.

A manually embedded button is a page-level payment action. If the site uses an online store, its separate native integration configures PayPal for store checkout.

The store integration is described in the PayPal payment-method instructions. The provider says this integration supports 25 currencies and more than 200 countries, but the article does not state a publication year. Check whether your account, country, and currency are eligible before relying on those broad availability figures.

The provider describes PayPal buttons as allowing payment through PayPal, PayPal Credit, Venmo, and major credit or debit cards. That is a general description, not a guarantee that every method is available to every seller or buyer; availability can depend on location and account eligibility. Confirm the methods offered for your own PayPal setup before publishing the button.
