After you choose a future time, open the Scheduled posts list and select the post to inspect its details and preview. This is not an unscheduled, preview-only draft: the post remains scheduled until you edit, reschedule, delete it, or let it publish. LinkedIn Pages and LinkedIn Articles have separate preview tools.
Preview a regular LinkedIn member post
Use this workflow when you are posting from your personal member account rather than as a LinkedIn Page administrator or article author.

Open the post composer
On desktop, open LinkedIn’s home page and select Start a post in the share box. On mobile, tap Post. These are the standard entry points for a member feed post.

Build the post
Write the text, then add any image, video, document, link, mention or other content you intend to publish. Check line breaks, hashtags, @mentions and attached media before scheduling. LinkedIn’s scheduled-post preview is most useful after the post is substantially complete.

Open the scheduling control
Select the clock or scheduling control in the composer. LinkedIn’s member-post help describes scheduling from 10 minutes to three months ahead. The selected publication time is interpreted using your device’s time zone.

Choose a future time
Set a date and time at least 10 minutes in the future, then confirm the schedule. You have now created a scheduled post, not merely saved an unscheduled preview.

Open Scheduled posts
Return to the scheduling dialog and open the Scheduled posts view. Select the post you just scheduled. LinkedIn displays its details and preview so you can inspect how the content is assembled before publication.

Edit or cancel if necessary
From the scheduled-post details, make final edits, reschedule the publication, or delete the post. Complete changes before the scheduled time; otherwise LinkedIn may publish the current version.

What this preview does—and does not—show
- It checks the scheduled post’s presentation: text, attached media and the details LinkedIn exposes for that scheduled item.
- It is not a separate preview-only mode: scheduling is required for the documented member workflow.
- It is not a guarantee of the final feed appearance: feed layout can vary by device, screen size, account state and LinkedIn changes.
- It does not replace proofreading: read the copy yourself and verify links, names and claims before the scheduled time.
Preview a LinkedIn Page post
Page posts use a different workflow and require the appropriate Page role, such as a super admin or content admin.

Open Page posts
Switch to the LinkedIn Page, open Page posts, and choose Start a post.

Use the Page preview
LinkedIn says a preview opens while you create the Page post. Review the rendering and content before confirming publication or scheduling.

Schedule when needed
If the post is scheduled, you can return to its scheduled-post controls before the publication time. Page admins can later edit post content, visibility settings, comment controls and the brand-partnership indication.

Page post types that cannot be scheduled
LinkedIn’s Page scheduling guidance excludes events, multiple-photo posts, reshares, polls, jobs and service posts. If your Page post uses one of these formats, the standard scheduled-preview route may not be available; review the post in the composer and publish when ready.
Preview a LinkedIn article draft
Articles are not regular feed posts. Article preview is available in LinkedIn’s desktop publishing editor.

Open the article editor on desktop
Write or open the article draft in LinkedIn’s publishing tool.

Choose Manage > Preview
Select Manage, then Preview. LinkedIn lets you share a draft preview with other LinkedIn members for review.

Share with signed-in reviewers
People viewing the draft preview must be logged in to LinkedIn. The mobile app does not provide this article draft-preview function.
LinkedIn warns that article formatting can look different after publication. Treat the preview as a review of the draft, not a promise that every spacing or responsive detail will remain identical in the published article.

Proofread the copy separately
LinkedIn’s Post proofreader can review an English draft and offer Review, Shorten or Clarify actions. As described by LinkedIn, it is a Premium feature for individual Premium Career or Premium Business subscribers. It helps with wording; it does not show the final visual rendering of a post. Use it alongside, not instead of, the scheduled-post or Page preview.
A practical pre-publication checklist
- Confirm that the intended account is your member profile or the correct Page.
- Read the first two lines as they will appear before a reader expands the post.
- Check spelling, punctuation, capitalization, dates and numerical claims.
- Open every link and verify that it goes to the intended destination.
- Confirm that mentions resolve to the correct people or organizations.
- Check image or video cropping, legibility and accessibility text where available.
- Review hashtags for spelling and relevance; remove tags that could misrepresent the topic.
- For a scheduled member post, open Scheduled posts again after your final edit.
- For a Page post, verify visibility, comments and brand-partnership settings.
- For an article, ask reviewers to check both desktop readability and factual accuracy.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find a Preview button for my personal post
That is expected for the documented member-feed workflow. LinkedIn does not document a universal standalone preview button for an immediate, unscheduled member post. Schedule the post for a future time, then open it from Scheduled posts.

The post published while I was still reviewing it
Open the scheduled item and verify its time zone and publication time. Member scheduling uses the device’s time zone, and the minimum documented window is 10 minutes. Give yourself more lead time for review and collaborators.
The preview looks different from the published feed
Preview and feed rendering can differ across desktop and mobile layouts, screen widths, account states and later LinkedIn interface changes. Check the media dimensions and text in more than one viewport when presentation is important.

My Page does not show the expected preview
Confirm that you are acting as a Page super admin or content admin and that you opened Page posts rather than the personal composer. Also check whether the content is an unsupported scheduled type: events, multiple photos, reshares, polls, jobs or service posts.
My article reviewers cannot open the draft
Article draft previews require viewers to be logged in to LinkedIn, and the feature is not available in the mobile app. Send the preview to signed-in members and ask them to open it on desktop.
