Read the objective and available intel before choosing equipment rather than carrying one assumed “best” build into every sortie. Identify the main target and objective
Bandai Namco describes dogfights, air support for ground troops, and air-to-sea sorties against seaborne threats. These are useful broad categories for thinking about target mix, not a claim that every mission fits only one category. Check whether the briefing points to aircraft, ground units, ships, or a mixed force, and note any stated time pressure or change in objective.

Do not assume the first objective is the only one that will matter. Follow the briefing and in-mission updates for changes in target priority. The publisher also describes dynamic weather and large superweapon encounters; weather can affect gameplay, and destroying parts of colossal targets can create wreckage chain reactions against nearby targets. The official descriptions do not identify which campaign mission features a particular weather condition or superweapon, so use the details shown for your current sortie rather than planning around an unverified mission-specific claim.

Choose an aircraft and weapon for the job
Bandai Namco’s guidance is to consider both the mission objective and your preferred playstyle when choosing an aircraft. Its overview also calls out aircraft loadouts and special weapons, while the systems walkthrough says fighters can be customized for each mission with upgrade parts and special weapons. The official pages do not establish that any specific aircraft or weapon is best for a named sortie.
Match special-weapon coverage to the target mix
Use the briefing’s targets to decide what capabilities you want from your special weapon. For an air-focused objective, prioritize coverage that supports engaging aircraft; for ground or seaborne threats, choose an option suited to the relevant targets if it is available to you. For mixed objectives, weigh which threat is most important or time-sensitive. Confirm weapon compatibility and availability in your current game before committing to a recommendation: published overview guidance does not provide a complete compatibility chart or campaign unlock list.

Balance mission fit with handling preference
A loadout that suits the objective still needs to feel manageable to you. If two available aircraft can address the target mix, choose the one whose handling best fits your approach; the publisher explicitly frames aircraft selection around both the mission and playstyle. Treat this as a decision principle, not a ranking of airframes or a claim about comparative performance.
Check parts and unlocks before launch
Review the parts and special weapons actually available at your current campaign point. A recommendation that depends on optional unlocks, paid content, or equipment you have not obtained is not a usable baseline for every player. The official pages confirm customization, but do not publish the full mission-by-mission availability and balance data needed to prescribe a universal build.

Use wingmen as part of the plan
Aircraft selection is only one pre-sortie decision. Bandai Namco says players can issue wingmen real-time attack and cover commands. Consider how you want wingmen to support your approach, then issue the appropriate command during combat as the situation changes. The publisher’s overview establishes that these commands exist; it does not say that one command is optimal for every mission.
A practical pre-sortie checklist
- Read the briefing: identify the objective, target types, any stated time limit, and possible phases or priority changes.
- Choose an available aircraft: consider the target mix as well as handling that suits your flying style.
- Select a compatible special weapon: check that it addresses the targets you expect to face and is unlocked at your current campaign point.
- Review upgrade parts: equip parts that support the role you chose, without assuming optional or paid content.
- Plan wingman commands: decide whether attack or cover support fits your opening approach, then reassess during the sortie.
- Adapt in flight: respond to briefing updates, changing objectives, weather, and target behavior rather than persisting with a plan that no longer fits.
Why there is no verified build for every named mission here
The official pages establish the preparation principles, broad mission variety, customization, wingman commands, weather, and superweapon encounters. They do not publish a complete campaign sortie list, named-mission aircraft and weapon recommendations, a full compatibility and unlock chart, comparative aircraft rankings, or a dated balance-patch history. A genuine mission-by-mission build guide would need to verify each sortie in the current game, including campaign position, objective and target mix, available equipment, required upgrades, and any optional-content assumptions. Until those details are checked, a named “best loadout” would go beyond what the publisher’s published guidance supports.
