YouTube’s documented approach is to schedule each video as its own Premiere, then add those videos to a playlist and arrange them in the order you want. The playlist groups the videos; the Premiere creates a scheduled, shared viewing event for an individual video. YouTube’s help pages document these as separate workflows and do not describe a playlist-wide or bulk Premiere setup.
Can you Premiere a playlist on YouTube?
YouTube Help explains how to Premiere an uploaded video and how to create and manage a playlist, but it does not document a single setting that turns an entire playlist into one Premiere event. To present several videos as scheduled Premieres, schedule each one individually, then organize them in a playlist.
A Premiere is a shared viewing of a new video at a scheduled time. Before it begins, YouTube creates a public watch page where viewers can set reminders, comment, and chat. A playlist, by contrast, groups videos and lets you choose their order; it does not replace each video’s Premiere schedule.

Schedule each video as a Premiere
- Upload a video. In YouTube Studio, upload the first video and enter its details.
- Choose when it should premiere. To start after processing, select Public and Set as instant Premiere. To choose a later time, select Schedule, set the date and time, and select Set as Premiere.
- Set countdown options if you want them. You can customize countdown themes and lengths. Review the available options during setup.
- Finish scheduling. Check the video’s visibility and scheduled time, then complete the setup.
- Repeat for every video. Each video needs its own Premiere setup and scheduled time.
YouTube says a Community Guidelines strike can prevent a Premiere from publishing during the penalty period. If that applies to your channel, reschedule the event for after the freeze period.

Put the Premieres in a playlist
- Create or open a playlist using YouTube’s playlist controls.
- Add the scheduled videos to the playlist.
- Arrange their order with the playlist’s ordering controls. Check that the sequence matches how you want viewers to find the videos.
The playlist serves as an organizer for the separately scheduled events. Do not assume that setting an order in a playlist changes the individual Premiere times.
Share the watch pages and prepare viewers
Each scheduled Premiere has its own public watch page, which you can share before the event. YouTube recommends scheduling a Premiere at least 24 hours in advance so its thumbnail has time to appear in subscribers’ feeds. You can encourage viewers to visit the page and set a reminder. YouTube says reminders are sent about 30 minutes before the Premiere and when it begins.

Before the scheduled start, viewers can visit the public watch page, set a reminder, comment, and chat. At the scheduled time, the selected countdown runs, followed by the video playing for viewers together. During the event, viewers can rewind but cannot skip ahead of the live point. After the Premiere, the video remains on your channel as a regular upload, and chat replay is available.

Requirements and feature limits to check
- Video formats: YouTube’s current Premiere help page says Shorts are not supported. It also excludes 360/VR180 video and output above 1080p.
- Channel standing: A Community Guidelines strike can delay publication during its penalty period; reschedule after the freeze period.
- Trailers: YouTube lists trailer eligibility as more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes. A trailer must be 15 seconds to 3 minutes long, comply with content and rights rules, and cannot be a video that has already premiered.
- Monetization and chat: For eligible advertising channels, pre-roll ads may run during a Premiere; mid-roll and post-roll ads are unavailable during the event. Super Chat, Super Stickers, and eligible members-only chat are additional options.
- Rights and content: Check that you have the rights to the video, music, and other material you upload, and that the content follows YouTube’s rules. A scheduled Premiere does not exempt a video from those requirements.
When a YouTube Premiere is not the right format
A Premiere is for a new uploaded video that viewers watch together at a scheduled time. If instead you want uploaded videos to keep looping as a 24/7 YouTube live stream, that is a different workflow from scheduling a playlist of individual Premieres.
Or let it run in the cloud
For a continuous YouTube stream made from uploaded videos, StreamNeo works in three steps: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it streams what you upload at its original quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and it can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
