Quordle asks you to solve four separate five-letter words using the same set of guesses. You have nine attempts in total, and each guess produces its own color clues on each board. Read the grids independently: a letter can be green on one board and gray on another.
How Quordle works
Quordle presents four hidden five-letter answers at once. Enter a guess and it is applied across the unsolved boards; each grid compares that guess with its own answer and shows separate feedback. The boards do not share one answer. A guess that helps identify a letter in one word may provide different information on another, so evaluate each grid on its own.
What the colors mean
- Green: The letter is in that board’s answer and is in the correct position.
- Yellow: The letter is in that board’s answer, but belongs in a different position.
- Gray: The letter is not in that board’s answer.
Color feedback applies to the specific grid where it appears. The same guessed letter can receive different colors across the four boards because each board has a different hidden word. Quordle.game’s rules guide explains these clues.

How to use guesses across four boards
Early guesses can test several distinct letters, giving you clues on multiple boards at once. As answers emerge, focus later guesses on the unsolved grids and choose words that can make progress across them where possible. This is a practical approach suggested by the accessible rules guide, not a guaranteed optimal strategy.
After each submission, check the four grids separately: record which letters are fixed in place, which are present but misplaced, and which are absent from that particular answer. Avoid carrying a gray or yellow result from one board over to another.
