Wachete’s reviewed official help pages do not document how to pause one monitor. To suspend checks without removing the monitor, check the current interface or ask Wachete support at info@wachete.com. If you want to delete a monitor, Wachete documents a REST API delete operation; if you delete one by mistake, its FAQ describes a recovery option. Cancelling a subscription is a separate account action, not a way to pause a monitor.
Pause a monitor: the current steps are not documented
The official Wachete FAQ and REST API documentation reviewed here do not establish a web-interface control or procedure for temporarily disabling a single monitor. Do not assume that deleting a monitor is a temporary pause: deletion and pausing are different actions.
Check the current Wachete interface or ask support at info@wachete.com for the current pause control before changing the monitor. Wachete describes its monitoring as running on its own servers, so your computer or phone does not need to remain online for checks to run (Wachete Features).
Delete a monitor with Wachete’s REST API
Wachete’s API documents deleting a task using its ID. This is an API operation, not a documented set of website-interface clicks. Use the ID of the monitor you intend to remove and the token-based authorization described in Wachete’s REST API documentation.

DELETE /thirdparty/v1/task/{ID_OF_YOUR_WACHET}Replace {ID_OF_YOUR_WACHET} with the actual monitor ID and send the request to Wachete’s API using the authorization method documented on its API page. Confirm the monitor ID before sending a DELETE request. The cited documentation establishes the operation and authentication overview; it does not establish a browser-interface deletion path.
Recover a monitor deleted by mistake
Wachete’s FAQ says accidentally deleted monitors or folders can be recovered. To find the recovery section:

- Open Profile.
- Go to Account.
- Find the deleted-monitor recovery section.
- Choose a recovery period and restore the monitor or monitors.
Wachete says the restored monitors will return to your monitors. The FAQ excerpt does not specify a retention period, so do not assume deleted items remain recoverable indefinitely. See the Wachete FAQ for its recovery instructions.

Subscription cancellation affects billing; it is not the same as pausing or deleting one monitor. If stopping a paid subscription is your goal, Wachete’s FAQ gives this path:

- Open Profile.
- Select My Subscriptions.
- Click Cancel on the relevant subscription.
Use this action only for the subscription you intend to cancel. Refer to the Wachete FAQ for the account instructions.

Troubleshooting
- You cannot find a pause control. The reviewed official pages do not document one. Check the current interface or contact Wachete support; do not substitute deletion if you need a temporary suspension.
- Your API delete request does not work. Confirm that the monitor ID is correct and that you followed the token-based authorization instructions on Wachete’s API page. The endpoint requires the ID of the task to delete.
- You deleted the wrong monitor. Look in Profile > Account for the deleted-monitor recovery section and choose a recovery period. The available retention window is not specified in the cited FAQ excerpt.
- You still receive charges after changing a monitor. Monitor deletion and subscription cancellation are separate. Review Profile > My Subscriptions and cancel the relevant subscription if you intend to stop it.
