Sken.io’s public instructions do not show where an existing monitor’s pause or resume control is, or explain what pausing does to checks and saved history. Open the monitor in your account and look for an explicitly labeled pause or disable control. If you cannot find one, ask Sken.io support before changing or deleting the job.
Check the monitor’s controls in your Sken.io account
- Sign in to Sken.io and open the monitoring job you want to suspend.
- Inspect the job’s available controls for a clearly labeled pause or disable action. The public setup instructions do not verify a specific button, menu, or account path, so do not assume a control with a different label has the same effect.
- If an explicit pause or disable option is available, read any confirmation or explanation shown before applying it. The public instructions do not specify whether pausing stops checks immediately, preserves the schedule or history, or changes alerts.
- To resume, return to the same job and look for an explicitly labeled resume or enable action. Confirm the displayed details before proceeding; public documentation does not establish the exact resume steps.
Sken.io describes a monitor as a scheduled page load that compares a selected area and sends an alert when that area changes. Its job page documents setup and check-frequency fields, but not pause or resume controls. Sken.io’s overview and job setup page explain the monitoring concept and configuration.
If you cannot find a clear pause or resume option
Contact Sken.io through its support/contact route and ask for the current steps for your account. Before changing anything, ask specifically whether pausing preserves the job, its schedule, prior checks or snapshots, and alert settings, and whether paused jobs continue to consume checks. The public tutorials index includes scheduling and job-management topics, but it does not establish those pause semantics.

Changing check frequency is not a verified pause workaround
Sken.io lets users configure a job’s check frequency, and its tutorials index lists custom scheduling and job-change topics. But neither source says that changing the frequency stops checks, preserves prior settings or history, or makes the job easy to restore. Do not treat rescheduling as equivalent to pausing unless Sken.io confirms the consequences for your job.
Can you pause or resume a Sken.io monitor through the API?
Sken.io’s API announcement describes API areas for jobs, checks, and job settings, but it does not identify a pause or resume operation. That announcement alone is not evidence that the API supports pausing. Check the current endpoint reference or ask Sken.io before sending a request that could change a monitoring job.
