To pair boAt Rockerz 421 Gen 2 headphones, put them into Bluetooth pairing mode using the instructions in the Gen 2 user guide, then open Bluetooth settings on your phone, laptop, or TV and select the headphone name when it appears. The exact Gen 2 button sequence and pairing light pattern are not confirmed by boAt’s accessible product-page text, so use the guide included with your headphones for that step.
Before pairing: confirm the exact model
Check the label or packaging for Rockerz 421 Gen 2. boAt lists the Gen 2 separately from the original Rockerz 421. Their specifications differ: the original model’s support page describes 40 mm × 2 drivers, while boAt’s Gen 2 listing gives 50 mm × 2 drivers and Bluetooth v5.4. Do not assume button instructions for one model apply to the other. boAt’s Gen 2 listing links a user guide; consult that guide for the pairing-mode control.
Pair the headphones with a device
- Put the headphones into pairing mode. Follow the Rockerz 421 Gen 2 user guide. The accessible Gen 2 product-page text does not specify which button to hold, how long to hold it, or what the pairing light should do.
- Open Bluetooth settings on the device you want to use. Turn Bluetooth on and choose the option to add or pair a device, if the device has one.
- Select the headphone name. When Rockerz 421 Gen 2 appears in the available-device list, tap or select it.
- Check the connection status. The device’s Bluetooth screen should show the headphones as connected. boAt lists the Gen 2 as Bluetooth v5.4, but does not state a connection-light pattern in the accessible listing.
On a phone
Open Settings, then Bluetooth (the exact labels vary by phone and operating system). Turn Bluetooth on, wait for the available-device list, and tap the headphone entry. If it is not listed, check the Gen 2 guide to make sure the headphones are in pairing mode, then scan again.
On a laptop
Open the laptop’s Bluetooth settings, choose its add-device or pair-device action, and select the headphones when they appear. If the laptop lacks Bluetooth, check its documentation for compatible audio adapters.

On a TV
Look in the TV’s Bluetooth or audio-output settings for an option to add a Bluetooth audio device, then select the headphones if listed. TV menus and support for Bluetooth headphone audio vary by model; check the TV manual to confirm that it can send audio to Bluetooth headphones.
If Rockerz 421 Gen 2 does not appear
- Recheck pairing mode. Use the Gen 2 guide to confirm the correct pairing procedure, then scan again from the phone, laptop, or TV.
- Disconnect another device temporarily. If the headphones have connected to a different device, disconnect them there or turn off that device’s Bluetooth while pairing to the new one.
- Remove a stale entry. If the target device already has an old Rockerz entry, use its Bluetooth settings to forget or remove it, then retry pairing.
- Use only confirmed reset instructions. The accessible Gen 2 listing does not provide a reset sequence. Consult the Gen 2 guide rather than trying a button combination from another Rockerz model.
boAt’s separate support page for the original Rockerz 421 includes model-specific button and indicator instructions. Those directions are not confirmed for Rockerz 421 Gen 2, so they should not be used as a substitute for the Gen 2 guide.

Bluetooth or wired audio?
Bluetooth is the wireless option when the source device supports Bluetooth audio output. boAt’s Gen 2 box contents list also includes an AUX cable, which provides a wired-audio alternative; the product listing does not give a separate step-by-step wired setup for each device. A Type-C charging cable is listed in the box as well. The same listing advertises up to 60 hours of playback at 60% volume; this is boAt’s stated figure, not a guaranteed duration or an independent test result.
