Organize Hindi songs in a backed-up, metadata-driven library, then build a separate queue using only tracks cleared for broadcast. A consistent folder and filename pattern makes albums and singles easier to find, but organization does not grant music rights or prevent YouTube copyright interruptions. The steps below help you prepare the collection and understand what is still required to keep a stream running.
1. Protect the original collection before changing anything
Make a verified backup, then organize a working copy rather than your only copy. MusicBrainz Picard’s v2.7 documentation recommends backing up and initially processing a copy of your files (Picard backup guidance).
- Keep the untouched source separate from the working library.
- Choose a backup location you can verify and restore from. An external drive is one option, not a streaming requirement.
- Do not run a bulk renaming rule or script against the original collection until you have inspected a small test.
2. Sort the library into useful groups
Start with categories that match how you will search and build a rotation. For example, separate identified albums, singles, compilations, devotional or regional collections, and tracks that still need identification. Keep Hindi and other language collections in distinct top-level folders if that will make the broadcast queue easier to manage.

This taxonomy is a practical choice, not a YouTube requirement or a Hindi-specific standard. Avoid forcing uncertain tracks into an album or artist folder just to make the tree look complete.

3. Review tags before using them to create folders
Check the embedded metadata that will identify each file: title, artist, album artist, album or release, track number, and year when known. Preserve distinctions such as singer, composer, film or album, and version when those details are verified and useful to your workflow.
MusicBrainz Picard can cluster files, look up releases, compare existing and proposed values, and let you correct uncertain matches before saving. Treat an automated match as a candidate, not proof: compare it with the actual recording and release, especially when recordings or versions sound similar. 4. Choose one predictable folder and filename pattern
A useful album-based starting pattern is:
Hindi / Album Artist / Year - Album / Track Number - Title.ext

For example, pad track numbers consistently—01, 02, and so on—so alphabetical sorting preserves the intended album order. For one-off songs, a separate rule can be easier to browse:
Hindi / Singles / Artist / Title.ext
For compilations, keep each track’s own artist and title in its tags even if the folder groups the release under a compilation name. The folder structure is a working convention, not something YouTube prescribes.
Picard’s file-naming options let you configure naming and moving behavior from metadata. Renaming a file and writing metadata into the audio file are separate actions, so check both the resulting path and the embedded tags (Picard File Naming Options).

5. Test the rules, then inspect the result
- In Picard, add a representative sample to the working copy: a standard album, a compilation, a single, and a track with incomplete tags.
- Cluster files and look up releases. Compare proposed values with the recording and correct questionable matches rather than accepting them automatically.
- Configure file naming and, if desired, moving behavior to use the chosen pattern. Check overwrite-protection settings before applying changes.
- Save the sample, then inspect filenames, folder paths, track order, and embedded tags. Confirm that no file was unexpectedly overwritten or placed in a misleading folder.
- Only after the sample is right, apply the same tested process to the rest of the working library.
Picard’s documentation notes that changing a naming script does not necessarily write those changes into audio metadata; verify both independently. File formats and storage can also affect handling, and slow storage may affect performance (Picard File Naming Options; Picard File Formats).

Keep a playlist or separate queue for tracks you are entitled to use in the intended live broadcast. A tidy collection, a purchase, or a “free” label is not itself permission to rebroadcast a song.
YouTube defines safe music as public-domain music or music used with permission from the copyright owner. Its guidance also warns that Content ID may flag music labeled free (YouTube Help: Tips to find safe music).

For each queued track, keep a simple rights record with its source, license or rights contact, permitted territories, duration, and attribution requirements. This is a useful record-keeping practice, not a format YouTube requires. Confirm that the permission covers the planned live use.
Understand Content ID interruptions
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If detected content remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. A license does not necessarily prevent an interruption: YouTube advises licensed users to ask the content owner to add their channel to the Content ID allowlist before streaming (YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams).
Consider YouTube’s Audio Library where it fits
YouTube’s Audio Library is available through YouTube Studio and offers music and sound effects that YouTube identifies as copyright-safe. Check the current terms for each track. If a selected Audio Library track uses a Creative Commons license, YouTube says to include the required attribution in the video description; tracks whose standard license does not require attribution are marked accordingly. YouTube’s assurance applies to its Audio Library, not automatically to tracks from other libraries or channels (YouTube Help: Use music and sound effects from the Audio Library).

7. Treat stream delivery as a separate job
Your folders and tags make the music easier to select; they do not create or operate a live broadcast. YouTube’s Live Streaming API distinguishes broadcasts from streams carrying the audio-video feed and supports scheduling broadcasts and associating them with streams (YouTube Live Streaming API Overview).
YouTube also documents HLS ingestion for encoder vendors, including ordered media playlists and segments, HTTPS transport, supported formats, muxed audio and video, and redundant ingestion. Those requirements apply to an HLS workflow; they are not instructions for organizing local song files and may not apply when using another ingestion protocol or encoder (Delivering Live YouTube Content via HLS).
Continuous operation is an operating goal, not a guaranteed result. Whichever delivery method you choose, plan how you will notice a stopped stream and restore it. Rights clearance remains separate from technical recovery.
