Organize your original bhajan videos in clearly named folders, create and order a playlist in YouTube Studio, then enable YouTube’s Loop or Repeat control on the device playing it. That repeats the playlist while playback continues; it is not a guarantee that YouTube will play without interruption indefinitely. For a YouTube channel that must stay live continuously, a playlist and a 24/7 live stream are different setups.
Organize the original bhajan video files first
Your local archive and your YouTube playlist serve different purposes: folders help you identify and preserve source files; the playlist controls the order of videos already on YouTube.
Use a naming system you can understand later
For a modest collection, use ordinary folders and consistent filenames rather than a complicated cataloguing system. For example, group files by singer, language, event, or recording date, then include the bhajan title in each filename. Choose labels that would make sense to someone other than the person who created the folders. The National Archives recommends consistent directory structures for usability: National Archives guidance on digital file organization.
A filename might look like Hindi-Singer-Title-2026-01.mp4; this is an example, not a required format. Keep original files unchanged if preservation matters. If the collection is large enough that simple folders are hard to search, a media asset-management or cataloguing system may help, but it is unnecessary for an ordinary playlist.

Keep a separate backup
Do not rely on a YouTube upload as your only copy of an important recording. The Library of Congress recommends keeping another copy of selected personal videos on separate media, with portable hard drives, thumb drives, optical discs, and internet storage among the options: Library of Congress video-preservation guidance. A backup drive is one possible choice, not a requirement for making or playing a playlist.
Create the playlist in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and select Create, then New playlist. Enter a title and description, choose visibility and arrangement, add videos, and create the playlist. YouTube documents a 150-character playlist-title limit and a 5,000-character description limit; interface labels can change. See YouTube Studio playlist management.
- Choose a clear title, such as “Morning Bhajans” or “Bhajans for Evening Prayer.” Use the description for useful context, such as language or the intended listening session.
- Add the bhajan videos you want. You can manage playlists in Studio and edit them on YouTube; drag and drop entries to put them in the desired sequence.
- Arrange the session in a way that suits your listeners. For example, you might begin with an opening prayer, follow with familiar favorites, move to quieter songs, and finish with closing bhajans. This is an editorial choice, not a YouTube rule.
Choose who can see the playlist
YouTube lets you set playlist visibility during creation and change it later. Choose based on how you intend to share it; the available options have different access implications.

YouTube documents repeating a video or playlist. The control keeps the playlist repeating while playback continues; it does not promise uninterrupted playback indefinitely. The device, power, connection, account, and platform behavior can all matter in practice.

On a computer
- Open a video in the playlist.
- Expand the playlist box.
- Select Loop.
On a TV or gaming console
- Open the playlist and start playback.
- Open the playback controls.
- Select Repeat until playlist repeat is indicated.
On mobile
YouTube also documents playlist repeat controls for mobile. Follow the current playback controls in the app; the exact presentation may vary by device and app version. See YouTube’s instructions for looping videos and playlists.
Use a series playlist only for a true series
A series playlist is an official set of videos intended to be watched together. It is not necessary for a typical bhajan mix. YouTube requires a verified account for series playlists; only videos uploaded by the owner and for which the owner has rights can be included, and a video can appear in only one series playlist. Check rights before uploading bhajan recordings
A devotional or traditional song is not automatically free to upload. The recording, performance, arrangement, and video may each involve separate rights. YouTube’s upload guidance says creators must have the rights or necessary licenses for the content they upload. Automated copyright checks may flag issues, but passing a check is not a final determination: claims or strikes can arise later. Read YouTube’s upload guidance and make sure you are entitled to publish each recording and video.

If playback does not behave as expected
- The playlist stops instead of repeating: Confirm that playlist repeat—not just single-video repeat—is selected in the playback controls for your device.
- A video is missing or unavailable: Check that the video is still accessible to the account and audience viewing the playlist, and that its visibility and playback restrictions fit your intended use.
- The order is wrong: Edit the playlist and drag entries into the sequence you want.
- You need uninterrupted channel programming: Playlist repeat is playback on a device, not a documented guarantee of an always-live broadcast. If the goal is a YouTube live stream that continues from uploaded videos, consider a cloud service instead of relying on a player left running at home.
