To order groceries on Swiggy Instamart, set your delivery location, choose available items and quantities, review your cart and address, then select a payment method offered at checkout. After placing the order, open its tracking view to check the latest status and estimated arrival time.
How to order groceries on Instamart
- Set your delivery location. Open Swiggy Instamart and enter or confirm the address where you want the groceries delivered. Instamart uses that location to determine serviceability and show the local catalog, so available products can differ by area. Swiggy’s Instamart storefront lets you browse the service, while the ordering workflow is documented in Swiggy’s end-to-end ordering guide.
- Find the groceries you need. Search for an item or browse the categories shown for your location. If you are repeating a previous shop, the frequently ordered items path documented by Swiggy may help you find familiar products faster.
- Choose the exact option and quantity. Check the item name, pack size or variant, and quantity before adding it to your cart. Different sizes or variants are separate product options, and the catalog may not have every item in stock.
- Review the cart and delivery address. Confirm the items and quantities, check the order total, and make sure the address is correct before proceeding. Swiggy’s current ordering guide documents a ₹99 minimum order and address serviceability checks; treat the amount and any requirements shown in your live cart as controlling because these conditions can change.
- Select a payment method and place the order. Continue to checkout and choose from the payment methods displayed for your order. Swiggy’s checkout reference groups supported methods as UPI, Cash/COD, and SwiggyPay, but the available choices can differ by cart or account. Do not assume every method will appear for every order. How to track an Instamart delivery
After checkout, open the placed order’s tracking view in Swiggy. Look there for the current order status and the estimated arrival time. Swiggy’s tracking reference describes order details and ETA, and says map locations—including a delivery partner’s location—may be included when available.
Use the ETA shown for your specific order rather than assuming a standard delivery time. The tracking information can vary, and some fields such as a map location or ETA may not appear in every situation.

If something is unavailable or not showing
- An item is unavailable: Availability depends on the selected location and current stock. Choose an in-stock alternative shown in the catalog, or check again later.
- Your address is not serviceable: Confirm that the delivery address is entered correctly. A different nearby address may have different coverage, but changing it does not guarantee that Instamart serves that location.
- The cart will not proceed: Check the live cart for any minimum-order or service-area requirement. The ₹99 figure is the minimum documented in Swiggy’s current ordering guide, not a promise that a threshold will never change.
- Your preferred payment option is missing: Use one of the methods actually offered on the checkout screen; availability can vary for an order or account.
- The tracking view has no ETA or map: Some tracking details are optional and depend on live availability and order state. Check the order status shown in the app rather than expecting every tracking field to be present.
For a cancellation, refund, missing order, or other support issue, use the current help options in the Swiggy consumer app. The technical ordering and tracking references do not establish a universal consumer-support procedure for those cases.
